When you ride year round in Portland, Oregon, a high quality dedicated rain jacket is a must. This jacket strikes the best balance of fending off rain and ventilating sweat that I've ever used. But what I like most is the sleek fit that still allows unrestricted movement due to the stretch side and arm panels that are also waterproof.
If you're looking for a fairly aerodynamic jacket that doesn't have the chest-flap that most do and one that will deliver you home dry, this is definitely THE ONE.

I've had a showers pass elite 2 for many years which I use for commuting, however I need a new rain jacket I could stuff in a pocket and a bit more breathable and more temp range for the road rides. The spring classic fits its all. I've used it in heavy Oregan rain and light showers, zips all closed and all open. It's a very versatile jacket, nice fitting, more breathable than the elite and easily stuffs into a pocket. Perhaps nit picky but I wish it had velcro cuffs, similar to what I think the former elite pro had, which I think would be easier to get over rain gloves this is the only reason I took one star off the rating though I'm still glad I picked this jacket.

This is not a cheap jacket, but it is the best rain jacket I have ever owned and helps keep me riding year round in Portland, OR. The year pocket is a little difficult to use with heavy gloves on, but otherwise no complaints.

I love the fit and how the zipper is offset from my chin. I own an elite 2.0 and the zipper on it is sometimes hart to start and when it skips the track hard to undo. I havent had the same issues with this jacket. Fits a little closer to the body which prevents flapping in the Oklahoma breeze which is constant. Overall a great addition to my kit. Paired with thermal bibs or skyline pants BombProof.

Ive worn this jacket on many rides now, from in the 30s to in the 50s. With proper layering it is very versatile and the best part is its amazing in the rain. The venting system is very effective and the side vents dont allow water in, even in a down pour. A great addition for winter riding, even got one of a smaller size for my wife, and she loves it!

Living and riding in Spokane can be a lesson in how to deal with all types of weather, often in the same day on the same ride. This jacket keeps the cold and wet out and the fit was perfect for me. My only negative, performance wise, (and you find this with all high end seam sealed garment) is the release of body heat moisture could be better.

I wear this jacket 8+ mos of the year in all weather (mostly wet). It is exactly the right fit for moderate layering. It sheds wind so it's warm when used with baselayers, but the huge vents really work. The zippers are easy to operate with winter mitts. Off-center front zipper is a nice touch. It doesn't pack down super-small but you can squeeze it into a standard jersey pocket. Mine is on its third season now & still mostly waterproof (I wash it every other week or so).
My only complaint is that the elastic cuffs are not awesome. You can't open your sleeves up for extra ventilation, and after 2+ years they are coming unstitched.
I wish I could give this 4.9 stars but I'm taking a star off for the cuffs. It sounds like a nit but it's such an obvious improvement. I hope someone at Showers Pass reads these comments!
