These wheels would rather look good and lose than look bad and win. Like Wesley Snipes in the movie White Men Can't Jump.

That being said, I really like these wheels. I had to swap out the DT Swiss recalled wheels and needed a set of wheels in the meantime. Well, these have become my new set of 'training wheels'. Since I'm not racing these I don't care how heavy or slow the rear wheel might engage after a bit of freewheeling.

I've paired them with some Cinturato velos in 32 mm setup tubeless and have put lots of miles on them without a hiccup. At 60 mm deep they are still fast from the aero advantage and seem to hold speed once you're going.

I could've gone cheaper with a set of non deep alloy wheels to get me by but I knew I wouldn't be excited to ride them when the recalled wheels came back and they'd just sit in the garage collecting dust. So I was okay with spending a good bit more (still a good deal from BTD) to get a set of wheels I'd look forward to riding. Glad I did.

Great upgrade to my road bike. Michelin Power Cup tires mounted effortlessly. Rode 70 miles so far on these wheels and they performed well.
