For the price these are excellent shoes. They are true to size and fit the shape of my foot well. I use them for gravel riding. So I can't say for sure how well they would work as MTB shoes. But they do work well for gravel riding. I only wish they were a little more comfortable. Like most modern shoes they aren't very comfortable. Just okay. But I've had worse.

Great fit, excellent construction and easy to use BOA dial system. This is my first pair of shoes with the BOA lace system. I really like the way you can adjust the tightness of the shoe along the entire instep of the foot. I use these shoes on my gravel bike for pavement and groomed trails. The lugged sole offers good traction when I need to walk. They look good to boot!

I have a B width foot. These shoes are an AAAA width.

As a newer member of the cycling community, I've exhausted a lot of time and energy researching gear. I have a touring bike and mainly ride road, and while I wanted something that was functionally a road shoe, I wanted something that would allow me to jump off the bike and walk around if stopping at a restaurant or campground. I've done a few 20 to 30-mile trips in these shoes since I purchased them, and I have to say, they've been very sturdy and comfortable. The cleats I installed at the bottom of the shoe hide under the tread well enough to not be noticed. I like how snug the shoes can get with the BOA laces. All in all, haven't had anything come up that made me rethink my purchase.

Tried literally 7 pair of shoes. I had heal slip in most all BOA shoes and tried these as last ditch effort (more money means better , right). Must say I am extremely happy with the fit of these shoes. Very comfortable. Do not know how durable they are but I will buy two pairs I like them that much. That being said after a couple months of religiously riding 50miles a week they are holding up great ?? . Would recommend.

Didn't want to spend a fortune on shoes and these were the only ones that were reasonably priced that had BOA and SPD. Although they're not road shoes they look the part and I like that I can walk normally since the SPD is higher then the tread and not scratch the floor if on wood

Shoe gets better as you wear it Clasp only tightens, does not loosen must disengage the clasp to loosen. Over all a good mtb shoe, ok for the price point.

I have been using a pair of Giro shoes for the past 4 years, but the buckle broke and it is a discontinued part from the mfr. I had to get a new pair of shoes and I didn't want to spend a ton on them. These are great shoes at a great price. They are comfortable and quick to put on or take off. They feel sturdy and I am expecting years of quality use out of them.

Use them for gravel with eggbeater candy pedals. Super comfortable. You can't get them super tight since it cinches with the BOA knob but they feel great.

I use it for road riding because of the recessed cleats. I like being able to walk around when I stop to rest.

If you are looking for good quality and not something flashy... this is the shoe for you.

The Boa being lower on the shoe is not ideal but I doesn't cause too much trouble. Shoes fit well on and off bike. Great entry-level shoes if you're on a budget but are still jumping for the Boa tech.

Right now I'm using without the cleats until I get around to buying new pedals. They are fine to walk in off the bike, and comfortable off the bike.

Single boa, in the center, makes tightening the shoe easy, and the Shimano boa is millimeter adjust on the go or stop light. Opening of the shoe is a little tight, getting my high arch foot in almost requires a shoe horn. I haven't ridden in the rain or snow but overall the Shimano SH-XC300 MTB is a good shoe.

Nice shoe for the money, and surprisingly light, but they run small, especially in the toe box. I had to go one size up versus all my other shoes.

Fairly comfortable. But the sizing runs small.

True to size and I have a wide foot and they fit well. Just the right amount of stiffness. Not quite as stiff as a carbon sole but works fine unless you are a racer and need more.

Shoes work well. They have surprising grip even on wet smooth surfaces like tile when off the bike. They fit a little small. I am a US 11.5 and ordered the 12 equivalent and my toes are tight.
