I bought this shoe to replace an old Shimano road bike shoe in which the soles have been chewed to pieces by the Eggbeater pedals after eight years of use.

The main reason I bought these is the ratchetting strap with the Velcro straps and have been reliable with no failure in the field. Lacing results in pressure points and these provide long-term comfort on long rides (I only wish I could say the same for my seat). For example, the Velcro is still as sticky as when I first bought the shoes; I can't say that for other cycling gear I've used (e. g., the Pearl Izumi toe covers just don't cut it after six months, and keep slipping off because the un-Velcro side is worn-out).

I've not bothered with the Boa dial as it strikes me as being more vulnerable to mechanical failure. I've notices lacing with older shoes resulted in in pressure points which are annoying in long rides.

Only downside is they're MTBs and slightly heavier than my old road shoes. Whatever, just being able to ride at my age is a joy in of itself. And burning extra calories anyway you can makes up for that extra weight.

I bought these shoes for our typically mild So Cal winter. I needed more grip in the tacky dirt than my 5Ten shoes provide. I like the shoe cuff to keep debris out. I bought mine one size up to fit thicker socks, but they are not really a "winter" shoe. Although once I installed the cleats, I filled in the bottom with silicone to help keep my insoles dry. Great shoe so far!

This was exactly the kind of mountain bike shoe that I was looking. Fits comfortably and makes me feel confident on the trails. Love them.

I use my Enduro shoes in all settings, road, mountain and trainer, and have found them to be incredibly comfortable in addition to meeting my expectations of high performance. I have lighter shoes, but I feel the trade off is worth it.
