Necessary brake pads. I'm so glad I can still use these and don't have to change to disk.

Worst thing would be to want to stop and not be able to, right?! -)

Dura-ace are some of the best caliper brakes made. My pads had worn down quite a bit and I didn't realize how bad they were until I put on the new brake pads. Like night and day. Easy to install. I have Mavic aluminum Kryserium SL wheels. Works perfectly.

Don't mess with anything else. Dura Ace brakes and pads are the best.

they are brake pads. They are easy to install and will stop you if it isn't to wet.

Comparing to other brands, the Shimano Dura Ace pads work the best for much better reliable stops. They will skid the rear tire if too much pressure is applied. I bought many sets for back up. Always nice to have on hand.

Difficult to control stopping rate when used on front brakes.
Almost took a header.

My old brake pads lasted a long time. I may not wait as long next time because fresh rubber reinstills confidence. Best to stick with OEM quality.

With Ultegra brakes, I only use these brake pads, relatively inexpensive.

Easy to remove from brake and reinstall. They provide great stopping power in dry and wet conditions. The design, channels away road grime from eating into the rims. I've been able to stop with speeds up to 50 mph with no problems on my Dura Ace brakes and pads.
