I run Ultegra pedals on two bikes and needed pedals for a third one. The 105s feel heavier in hand, but you probably won't notice the difference on the bike. The 105 stack height is reportedly ~1.5mm higher than Ultegra but I couldn't feel the difference when I swapped the two pedal sets on the same bike. Lastly, I can't comment on longevity. The 105 pedal bearings reportedly wear out more easily and/or need re-greasing more often than Ultegra or DuraAce, but I haven't owned mine long enough for a fair comparison. I use the 105s on my indoor training bike so they're not exposed to rain or road grit, which can impact bearing life and maintenance needs.

These were replacements for a previous set of 105's that I put 5000+ miles per year and probably had 20000+ miles on. Somewhere along the line the rear lip which engages the cleat broke and a small portion came off. The result was a feeling that my shoe wasn't fully in the pedal or that something was under the cleat. For me an old guy who just loves to put in the miles I took the advice of our older son and didn't go for the next level up as it would have been overkill. Hopefully get many thousands of miles before these need to be replaced.

I just replaced a 12 year old set of Campy pedals. These are amazing. This company has excellent service and delivery as well. Highly recommend both the pedals and BTD.
