This is the best puncture resistant commuting tire I've found. I have put > 20,000 miles on Schwalbe Marathon tires. I have still had dozens of flat tires over those miles, even with these great tires--they can't stand up to screws, nails or other sharp metal debris found on the road--but with cheaper, inferior tires, I would have had hundreds of flats, rather than dozens. If you are concerned with durability and puncture resistance, don't hesitate to run this tire. They are the best I've found in those categories. One significant warning you need to be aware of though: These tires are a huge challenge to get on the rim when new, and for a few months after installing. Long before they wear out though, they loosen up and you can eventually take them on and off without even using tire levers, but when brand new, and for a while after that, they are HARD to put on, which can be a freaking nightmare if you get a rare flat that needs to be fixed roadside before these guys get broken in. Other than that significant warning, these tires are the best!

Running these tubeless on my Surly Midnight Special commuter and all-around urban exploration machine. Although not as quick from a dead stop and out the turns as the Gravelkings I was using before, I was willing to compromise the heavier weight and suppleness for something that would offer better flat protection and durability. Overall, I'm very impressed with how well these hold up to all the broken glass and detritus. The lugs offer a good bite on softer ground and gravel alike. Rolling resistance isn't a problem once you have the inertia -- that's why these are touring tires rather than racing tires, after all. Although quite pricey, based on other reviews as to the amazing longevity of these tires, I'd say the value is strong if the protection holds up for all those miles of use.

I switched out the tires on my Specialized Turbo ebike. These are much better tires, but they are a major pain to install. Be prepared for a long wrestling match and some swearing.

These tires are great for avoiding flats from thorns that are prevalent in the summer and fall dry months in Northern California where I live. I have this tire on the rear of my Cannondale treadwell ebike! They are heavy, but the chance of less flats is worth the extra weight!

These tires are working on my wife's bike. Zero flats and they are very stable.

Local Bike Shop failed on installing these using the little plastic tire leavers, but I'll get a better tool. Schwalbe Marathon family of tires is my go to tire!
