I commute to work every day and need a tire that resists punctures and provides good traction. The Marathon does both. Since switching to this tire, I have not had a single flat, riding over urban streets with the usual assortment of glass, puncture vines, screws, nails, etc.

I use these tires for an 18 mile round-trip commute. They're great dependable tires for commuting. I don't know why you would look further for a commutingtouring tire.

I leave no carbon footprint and haven't done so for 8 years. I have been looking to BTD for about 6 years now for all my tire needs and I chose Schwalbe over any other manufacturer. Recently I purchased a pair of these tires for a TREK that I acquired and after a short time I notice a slash in the tread of the front tire. Never had this happen previously with this makemodel of tire. I called Taylor and explained ... he told me to take a couple of images and email them to him and he would get another tire out to me immediately. I did ... and he did!!

If you are not only looking for value in all your biking needs but also desire being treated in the process as a valued customer, then do as I do and look to BTD for all of your cycling needs. I live in Seattle, so I have the luxury of experiencing the all sorts of weather patterns. I've had these tires before and they are outstanding. They were on a bike i bought from a dude that rode from Texas, and they stil had 50ish% tread. Anyways great tires, they'll let you upright off you're riding with care, and tread life is great considering the price. As is the ride quality. Rolling resistance is what you'd expect from a tire with great puncture resistance, and tread. So yeah. Great commutertourer.

These tires come highly rated from all corners of the internet. I recommend them as much as I recommend most Schwalbe products, they seem like a company with integrity and their products speak for themselves. Nice tires, quality construction, good tread pattern.

I do a lot of riding and touring on chip seal and rough paved roads. Other touring tires last less than 1200 miles (rear tire), the last Schwalbe Marathon lasted nearly 3,000 miles. The heavy tread lasts and I have never had a flat with this tire. It is worth the extra weight.

Bought this tire for my guest bike, didn't need the protection the Marathon Plus gives, but if I was riding this bike daily I would opt to spend the extra money for the Marathon Plus tires.

I have used this tire for years and actually put over 8,000 miles on a set for my Bike Friday with 20 inch wheels with zero flats! The 700c should easily go 10,000.

INSTALLED TIRES ON MY HYBRID MARIN AND RODE OFF LIKE A CHAMPION BIKER. GOOD, SOLID TIRES WITH STRONG PUNCTURE RESISTANT CAPABILITIES. GOOD RIDE. WILL RECOMMEND. PLAN TO BUY MORE TIRES FOR MY OTHER BIKES. NO NEED FOR LINERS OR HEAVY DUTY TUBES.

Have used Schwalbe Marathons on my Tour Easy recumbent past 10 years . Get about 7000 miles in the rear, 14000 mile on the Front with the 40 x 406 tire before replacement.

If it lasts a long time I'll give it 5 stars for value. I like the reflective ring on the sidewalls. Tread works great for my urban riding.

I bought bike tires. My tires were old and when I got a flat I bought these new ones. I love them. I was lucky that I had a neighbor who put them on for me.

Held up to the rigors of RAGBRAI, riding self-contained carrying all my necessary gear.....good tread still left on the tire after 500 miles.......

I ride 25 miles a day most days on the road and Rails to Trails. I want durable, high mileage, low maintenance tires. Schwalbe Marathons in 700x28 or 700x32 are the best I have found for my riding. My only complaint is they seldom go on sale.

Great commuter tire. Good night visibility.
