I upgraded the stock wheels to improve acceleration and aerodynamics. These wheels are lighter, stiffer, significantly deeper and slightly wider that what came on my bike. The Ti freehub body is a nice to have, and confidence inspiring in terms of durability. The hubs from White industries are as advertised with great engagement, reliability, and a pleasing sound. Immediately I felt the acceleration advantage and the lower rolling weight. I didn't notice the aero effect except for the sound (cool) but I did see notable results in my avg speed and segment times. Also, the wheels and spoke pattern are lovely. They attract attention from other enthusiasts, in a good way.
One thing I did not like is that the rims are facing opposite directions. The valve stem hole is offset and the branding on the wheels is not the same on both sides. This makes it so that your front and rear wheel never look symmetrical. This is a nitpick, but a valid one on a $2k wheel set. Rolf gave a good reason for this, explaining that the stiffness is directional. In the front this is used for braking if you have discs (rider's left side) and in the back it is used for drivetrain (rider's right side). For the price offered by BTD this is easy to live with, but at full price I'd return.
Overall I'm very happy with the purchase.
