Replaced discontinued Freerider Contact size 12. Footbed in these in same size is a millimeter or two longer (301mm) and wider (102mm), at widest point. Toe box is slightly higher profile, as on Freerider Pro. Plenty of room for an orthotic, especially if your foot is bony. Boxier outsole is bulkier, but not by much. Four ounces heavier than Freerider C for the pair. Dry grip is acceptable and sole is wearing more slowly than MI6, as one would expect. Sole is comparably stiff. Used aggressively in rocky desert conditions for about 55 hours. Hellion Elite is a more fair comparison in terms of grip and weight, but I have not used those.

Very stiff at first, of course. I wore mine around the house for a couple days. But, once they are broken in they are very comfortable. Decent pedal feel but stiff enough so that there is no foot fatigue. They do run a half size small, I ordered a 10 which is what I usually wear, but ended up with a 10.5.

My wife and I both have a pair of Ride Concepts Livewire shoes. I had been reading about how they prioritize rider comfort in their shoes. We both feel that these are the most comfortable riding shoes we've ever owned. The soles are nice and stiff, the sizing is perfect for both of us, and they look great. I'm totally satisfied with this purchase.

I use these shoes for longer rides on the road.

This is my first MTB shoes so far I am satisfied with it. They provide great comfort and really fit to my feet. They have enough grips on the flat pedals.
