I have a Garmin RT515 on my bikes to use my Edge 1040. I bought this to use on my gravel bike - no problem if it got damaged or lost. First unit I received showed the radar was defective - it was connected, but never detected anything. After a few days consulting w/ Raveman, I returned the unit to BikeTiresDirect to exchange (great no-hassle service BTW). The second one worked, but positioning of the unit is critical to detection and accuracy. It needs to be perpendicular to the ground. Slightly tipped forward caused a significant increase in false positives (like every 1/2-1 miles) and decreased detection length. It's not as good as a Garmin, but it works for what I need.
