Bought the ARS as advertised, instead of a Brooks for now.Installed on a 2016 Trek Fx 7.3 and wow.I Like the recess are a great hip placement, comfort factor.Had an earlier model, wider was aways impressed by the comfort, doesnt slow leg movement,no inside leg discomfort.Put it on a road bike also, made the ride better.Im 62 still pedalcruise the backroads and have to say this seat is a steal,Value,Comfort..Youll be happier for it.

In June2014, moved into the Virginia area and to avoid the soul crushing traffic (and the purchase of another care), I took to riding my bicycle to work every day. The commute is about 12miles each way, and I had no problems with the ride with the exception of one thing. . . my A.R.S. was killing me!
I had been riding on the saddle that came with my commuter bicycle, and as a result of all the pressure on my perineum, had developed a pretty uncomfortable case of hemorrhoids. My padded bicycle shorts provided little comfort - so my search began for a better bicycle saddle.
The inexpensive, Planet Bike A.R.S. worked wonders for my arse, and within two weeks of putting the ARS on my bike, my condition had resolved (dare I say. . .rectified?)
Anyway, great purchase, very comfortable and I've since purchased two more for my wife's bicycle and my mountain bike.

This review is anatomically sensitive and Bike Tires Direct may or may not choose to publish this. For many months I had searched hundreds of bike seats offered by several suppliers, and came away only confused by vast ranges of product description and pricing, until Bike Tires offered this Planet Bike Men's A.R.S. Classic Saddle with the full length center recess for comfortable anatomic relief at what I considered at a great price.
You see, during this time I was experiencing moderate to severe irritation and discomfort on my perineum due to what I suppose was caused by excessive riding, and did not know whether this pain was superficial tissue irritation or other interior glandular irregularities which would require professional medical attention.
After a few weeks of riding on this padded saddle with the center recess, my pain and discomfort has disappeared and am enjoying unlimited riding once again. However, this episode does heighten my awareness to monitor such things and to get regular medical checkups especially at my age of just over sixty years, but still appreciate Bike Tires Direct for offering this product at least to get me back on track in riding without groin discomfort.
I do not think that this subject matter is too personal to be printed, and other male readers just might find this opinion valuable and noteworthy, but I will defer to the wisdom of the retailer as to whether this should be posted or not.
Thanks for the opportunity.

This is one of the cheapest comfort seats I could find. It works GREAT and is definitely worth it! What's more, is that it's relatively narrow for a comfort seat, so it doesn't look weird and out of place on a road bike, like a cruiser seat might.

I used this saddle on my hybrid that I ride around town - so far, its been very comfortable.!

I have taken this seat on several rides now, most recently this weekend for 90 miles. I find it comfortable for the entire ride because the padding helps take some of the shock from the bumps in the road. For a rider on a budget you just cant go wrong. I have at least 500 miles on this seat and am happy so far!

Great for bike that you would ride in regular unpadded shorts, like a beach or path cruiser, or that Mtn. bike you have for casual street or short hard-pack rides. Top side material is soft and generously padded in the site bone area, with just a little flex - actually may feel stiff to most. I really like the perennial nerve cutout feature - for me it's a must have any more for extended time in the saddle to reduceeliminate numbness, it's solidly built, well stitched and looks big but nice. I'd say It's a little on the heavy side at nearly 400gms but the weight is not bad if you keep in mind its built for Comfort not Competition and works well for that type of application. ...I'm 198lbs, ride approx. 150 milesweek on Road bike wan ADM time trial saddle so you can better qualify the review - and yes, that is a brick compared to this saddle - hope this read helped someone!

This seat was a replacement for an existing seat that started to show wear. I was looking for something basic and inexpensive. I was pleased to find that this seat was more comfortable than the one it replaced. I should have upgraded sooner.

I am glad I switch my stock seat for these because it saves me from soreness. I mountain biked for about a good 3 12 hours without padded shorts and I was fine. Price is great compared to the other seats that are small and leather padded.

I am an avid and strong cyclist who rides up to 400 miles a month. I now have this ARS saddle on all four of my bikes. Two mountain bikes, one hybrid and one road. Two years ago I was having issues with saddle sores. Expensive saddles were not working for me anymore. This cushy but well designed saddle instantly solved my saddle sore issue and I can ride in town in my street clothes to shop, 80 miles on my road bike or 15 rugged single track miles with no seat issues. I get some flack from my bike club buddies in Santa Rosa, but they are still behind me on all the climbs!

I wanted a saddle that I didn't have to wear bike shorts with, and this perfect. I have ridden over 50 mile rides with basketball ball shorts on with no pads and no discomfort. Great product!
