Way to hard to mount and dismount these tires.

I guess these would be fine if you are into tubeless, but I am not a fan of road tubeless. Totally fed up with latex getting sprayed all over a bike and me. The problem with these tires is that getting these tires to seat onto rims is a royal PITA. With copious soapy water and nearly 80psi I finally got them to seat. That is ridiculous. And, good luck with getting them off the rims. I can't ride these when I can't fix a flat on the road. So look elsewhere if you use tubes as these are unusable with tubes. If you use tubeless, then they will be fine until you have to eventually remove them. Good luck with that.

Thank you for your feedback.

Best tire I rode in 25 years

I bought a set of Pirelli Tubeless and just finished a 500 mile road trip. Zero issues, great air retention, super comfortable, easily the best tires I ever had.

Thank you for your feedback.

Great Tire

Great tires, been riding on these for a few weeks and have put on around 300 miles on them. Still look new and grip is awesome. Will certainly purchase these again.

good puncture protection

better puncture resistance and overall lifetime than gp5000 without noticeable compromise on speed.

Long lasting but hard to mount

These wear better than the 'race' version, which is as expected of course. And since they are more substantially built they are not quite as supple as the race - but again as expected.

What was not expected was how difficult these were to mount compared to 'race' versions in 30 and 28.

Those other tires slipped on easily to a set of Zipp 303s. These tires were (almost) impossible to get on.

Thank you for your feedback.

Good all-around tire

Good tire overall. About 1000 miles on them, and very little signs of wear.

Nice tires, have a compressor for tubeless setup

I bought these for a spare set of wheels on a gravel bike for training rides on mostly pavement and they do the job well. I haven't put a ton of miles on them, but they feel good and have had no punctures.

They were not hard to get on the rims, but I could not get them to seal with only a floor pump. That's not unusual, but the reason I deducted one star.

Thank you for your feedback.

Nice, supple road tire but perhaps a bit fragile?

Nice tires but they don't seem to be overly robust. Within a couple of hundred miles I already have chunks in the sidewalls of the tire (cords showing). I've had to repair these with dabs of black RTV sealant. I presume these are from hitting angled pavement joints.

It would also be nice if Pirelli molded in treadwear indicators so one could tell when they are getting too worn to continue using.

BikeTiresDirect.com Comments
FYI Ken these tires DO have molded-in tread wear indicators, they are just a couple of small round divots about 1mm wide on each tire in a few spots, take a look!

thicker tire, rolls fast

Got it on sale. As quick as GP5000, but with more rubber so less puncture prone. My new go to

Durable, yet still fast!

Good alternative to gp5000s, offers more puncture resistance.
