I purchased to use as a base layer for cold weather riding, Great for wicking, but not for a layer of warmth based on 2 rides in the 40-47 range.
I have other base layers that are not Marino wool and perform better at half the price and were used in colder temperatures.
I will try it again on other cold days this winter below the 40mark, only because I own it.
We shall see if my opinion changes.
Safe winter riding to everyone!

Wool baselayer is very warm. I've worn it on a 40 degree ride with a jersey on top shell and didn't have any core chilliness. I've also ridden with it on a 50 degree ride with just a jersey and did fine. It is form fitting and snug but this didn't bother me on rides. Material looks flimsy but it has held up well so far.
