Great Tights for Cold, Cold Morning Rides

I have had these tights for a month now, and they are great for those chilly 40-degree early morning rides. I am 5'9 140 lbs., ride approx .400+ fast miles every month, and the medium size fit me perfectly. They fit very snug, hence the term "tights" and they fit flawlessly over my existing riding shorts. After I have put them on, I completely forget I am wearing them, and only think about how cozy they are. Any slight extra legging at the bottom of the tights can be used to cover the sock and shoe area to fight the chilly winds.

Thank you for your feedback.

Inadequate length for tall people

Bought this cold weather tight I n early 2023 and at that time the PI website indicated it had a uniform leg inseam of 33 inches across all sizes - from small to 2XL. As a 6 ft 3 in person with a 34 inch inseam I was prepared for the tights to leave skin exposed at the ankle. Wearing high socks or shoe covers - which is my norm in cold weather- takes care of that. What I didnt expect is that the tights are short waisted at the top and sit a bit below both my waistline and the top of my regular cycling shorts underneath. It makes for a unsecure and distracting fit while riding. As other reviewers have noted, the absence of leg zippers and a wristband drawstring are disappointing downgrades PI has made in pursuit of cost savings.

Apart from these limitations I have found the tights provide ample warmth down to at least 25 degrees and the thick material is an effective windblocker. I dont tide in snow or rain so I cant comment on water repellent performance.

Thank you for your feedback.

excellent as compression tights

I normally use bike tights with pads, but I need a compression tight for snow shoeing while recovering from a pulled leg muscle. They really help and are warm under any kind of snowshoe pants.

Thank you for your feedback.

For skinny long-legged people

Legs are very tight for the length; hard to pull on, you have to gather them up and unravel them up your leg. They can feel tight and bunch up around the knees. Material is quite thick.

Thank you for your feedback.
