I use these shoes for longer distance gravel rides. I noticed theres not too much venting on bottom for summer heat but air does get through the surface. The soles are stiff and provide good power transfer. The tongue is a little soft and thin but padded just enough. The sizing is a tad bigger than the similar Pearl Izumi Pro road shoes I recently purchased. Overall they are comfortable and I think they are a value for the money.

After doing a 4-day trip in shoes without a carbon sole, I was tired of the pressure causing me to lose feeling in my toes. These provide a great, firm platform for long days on the pedals. The upper is extremely comfortable and the Boas work well. With the stiff carbon sole they are not great for hike-a-bike, and are much happier staying clipped in. I do like to firm outsole rubber though which is sturdy and will hold up to walking/hiking.
