Man, these are good looking. Sure, I had to use tire levers to get them on the rims, and it was a tight fit, but once seated, they accomplished their intended purpose with style. They're wide enough to be very comfy, and fast enough to let me rip along on pavement, but with a texture that keeps me from wiping out when iI hit dirt. You already know the GravelKings have been around forever, but once you're riding on them, you immediately know why they aren't just called GravelPrinces or GravelDukes. These are rubber royalty, and they're reliably rad.

I live on smooth gravel. Not chunky. This tire has served me well on 2012 Super X cross bike. Even ride smooth single track just fine. They stopped making the size 38mm this year and am glad I have 2 new spares so barring incident I should be good for a couple years.

Wanted smooth center tire with side grip for light gravel and mostly poorly keep road surfaces. This does the trick, 1200 miles no visible wear. Fast roller as well.

I've been riding this tire for the last 2 years in a variety of surfaces, from tarmac, to bike paths and light/medium gravel. It performs well in all of them, not the fastest rolling tire out there, but the versatility wins over in my humble opinion. By the way, only one puncture during that time. I'm very satisfied with my decision to try them and will continue to do so in the future.
