These inserts provide padding for your laptop and organization for other kit. More importantly, they bolster the bottom of the pannier so that it stands upright. Because the insert can be removed, you don't have to keep it in there when you're, for example, hauling groceries. That's a nice touch with larger panniers, less important with their smaller ones.

Good for organizing items inside the pannier. Only issue I have is if you put a laptop in it will file over and kinda rattle around. You'll need to pack clothes or something inside the bilious to make things more stable inside the pannier

Have been commuting with ortlieb panniers for years and now there is finally something to help them stand on their own. The pockets and laptop insert are great for keeping things inside the bag organized and easier to find.

concept is good but bag is rather flimsy. It works but stuff falls out when transferring from bike to office. During Covid it is loaded with sanitizer, masks, wipes as well as my regular stuff.
