COMPATIBILITY REVIEW, as I have yet to take these out on their first long trip. THE CHALLENGE: I have a TOPEAK MTX TRUNKBAG EXP (16.6 L) system which I wanted to retain compatibility with for lighter weight in-town and local day tripping convenience, but wanted the ability to easily add on the Ortlieb Back Roller Plus bags for multi-day and multi-week trips involving substantially more gear, with better water resistance. My bike is a disc-brake 2017 Trek FX S4 - yeah I know - not really a long distance touring bike - but it works for me. Anyhow, it takes a special rack, the Topeak UNI Super Tourist DX (Disc) Rear Rack to mate Ortlieb rear pannier bags and retain the ability to simultaneously mount the Topeak hard shell trunk bag on top. I can report that rack/trunk/Ortlieb bags work flawlessly together and that these bags fit snugly and the tool free-adjustment of the Back Roller Plus made the initial install a 5 minute job. BTD had a great price and it arrived a day early to boot! Looking forward to 1000s of miles of blissful long distance riding with these bags.

Love the color, size and durability. Don't put any partially wet clothes inside on accident though or the other clothes will feel damp due to its watertight nature. I ended up leaving the strap inside and buckling the side buckles together, which worked out great for me. Good quality gear.

I just finished riding 4200 miles across the US with these. They survived falls. The clip mechanism to hold them to rack worked very well. Never came off. They are lightweight. No water got inside from rain. And lastly they survived the plane flight home as checked luggage. Highly recommend.

These are fantastic with all the elements that I love about Ortleib, namely a myriad of adjustments to the attachment clamp that is super easy, built in shoulder strap that also helps tie down load, internal pocket that hold laptop behind and zip pocket in front for storing all easily accessible objects that are needed, tools for commuting or hygiene and other bits that you routinely access when bikepacking. And super light and less bulky to fold down than the classic design with PU. The standard for panniers and 100% waterproof.

Overall, very nice quality. It features a mesh compartment inside that doesn't have an obvious utility. They ride very securely.
