Three years ago I went small to 700-35 Kenda Kwest and wore them out with my 240 pounds on coarse,HOT pavement here in Southwest Florida. Was not the tire's fault, but I switched to the Michelin Protek because they were on sale and I wanted reflective stripe for night riding.I went bigger with 700-40 and had to trim my rack for clearance but what a difference.Ride is great and rolling resistance was noticeably reduced.Next time I might try the Protek cross max for more tread. One of the new tubes was defective and Bike Tires Direct sent me another one right away with no hassle. After 200 miles I am still very happy with the product and the service from Bike Tires Direct..Happy riding.

I use these tires to commute to work on bike trails and city streets so far so good 200 miles thus far.
I weigh 245 plus gear these tires are seeing 260 went with 38 and 40mm widths since I was breaking spokes even with HD rim.
No broken spokes now.
Handle well on ice patches and shed road dirt well

I ride mostly on the road but go off the road occasionally. The tires improved the quality of my bike, although it is not a very expensive one.

I replaced the 700x32 stock tires on my Giant Escape with these Michelin Protek 700x38. I went with wider for better comfort. I only put about 100 miles or so on them and the grip and roll resistance is really good. Install was a breeze. I think its a great deal for under $20 each. I ride recreationally 3-4 times a week on paved road.

I needed a cheap set of tires and these fit the bill. They tend to feel soft and the tread is not very deep so these probably won't be the best if you do a lot of miles or skids. Overall, a pretty good tire for the price.

This tire is a great street tire and I like the reflective strip on the side walls, we all need to be seen on the road.

I put these on our tandem replacing 28mm tires that we've used for years. I was a little skeptical of the 35mm but as it turns out they ride and roll better on our roads than my previous slick road tires. The 35mm works a little better on some of our chip & seal roads. They also work well on crushed stone trails.

Good all round tire for my single speed gravel bike for a range of road and weather conditions

1. My wife says rolls easier, less pedaling effort, not out of breath anymore, than original Kenda tires. 2. Sturdily built, was easy to install. 3. Very reflective circular stripes. All tires should have this safety feature! 4. Bought Michelin Protec Max tubes also, noticably thicker than original tubes. Overall a great combo. Tires actual measure 38mm (inflated).

I ride about 75 miles per week, nothing major, but enough to enjoy how these tires roll. Between the two bikes, this is my fifth Michelin pro tech tire purchase. I have never had an issue and will continue to purchase. I typically replace these tires every 2 to 3 years. Bike tires direct customer service is great and I've always had positive experiences buying online and picking up at the Portland location.

I have a Trek 1000c with factory bontrager wheels. It calls for 28mm tires. These are 28mm tires. Guess what? They don't fit in the front. When I wrote to explain the problem BTD told me they can't control the width of my rims. With 75psi they measure an actual 31mm with my digital calipers. I'll run them in the back and something else up front. Suggestions?

I have ridden over 24,000 miles; mostly in Colorado, Tennessee, and Kentucky. I have used a number of different tires along the way. These tires perform as well or better than any I have used. The reflective strip is a nice touch that really "lights up" in a car's headlights and makes me feel a bit safer.

these are non performance tires for a bike that rides around town.

Ride over lots of rough rocks, shards of glass broken in the street. Haven't had a puncture yet. Great traction and expect them to last!

I finally replaced my very old oversized tires on Bridgestone commuter bike with these Michelin Protek tires. They handle well and seem sturdy!

This is my second set of these and they are great. A nice wide city tire that works with fenders on my commuter Raleigh. The reflective sidewalls add a level of safety but still look nice. They hold up well and are good year round.

Nice and quiet ride. Cornering is sadly mediocre, but still better than what Schwalbe's doing in this style. I don't know why tire makers have recently decided we only ride in straight lines now. I won't really know how the thorn protection is until I pick up some thorns, but I haven't had a puncture in the first couple hundred miles, even though I've definitely ridden through broken glass a few times.

I bought this tire for a particular bike I intended to sell. The tires were sharp and clear in logo and made the bike stand tall and ready for the trail. The tire very closely resembled the OE and I could not have been happier with them. A good selection all round!
