Good tire, rolls remarkably fast on pavement, decent traction on dirt but definitely more of a gravel tire than a cross tire with solid side knobs. Bought a 38, and on a 33mm internal it stretched out to 40 over the course of a couple rides in a week. That extra size meant it didn't clear my chain stays any longer, so I didn't get a thorough review.

Threw a set of these on an old CX bike for a couple of gravel events last summer. Kept the air pressure on e low end and enjoyed a reasonably plush and stable ride. Easy to mount and held air nicely. Raced an early season (dry) CX race with this set up. Performed nicely there too.

For an ultralight 40 mm tire this tire performs well. Particularly with regard to braking. If one were to require more cornering acumen, the Ravager is the one from this manufacturer. Also, the silk shield is the only way to keep cooked cauliflower from punching holes through that light casing.

Perfect tire for our activities reduces the likelihood of picking up a flat from road debris. Hardier material yet looks sleek on the wheels. Highly recommend this tire excellent price for the value.

Mounted these tubeless on Stans Grail rims. Mounted securely without much effort, seated with high-pressure blast pump. At higher pressure (60-65 psi), nice ride on pavement, good grip on turns, seems to roll well. At lower pressure on gravel (35-40 psi), traction good and generally secure on turns, improves comfort on my Kona Jake bike I use for gravel. No flats or damage evident from 500 miles of gravel road single-track riding. Would buy again.

For a tubeless tire, the Rambler did meet expectations. The tire went on the rim entirely too easy and even with using a number of tricks could not get the tire to hold air and seat in a tubeless setup. The rim that was being used has seated a number of tubeless tires in the past and since. Maybe Ill try to use it if I ever decide to run tubes

I use this tire front and back for most gravel grinders, handles everything well with plenty of aplomb. Fast enough on tarmac and capable off-road (gnarly single track excluded). I also run this tire on the rear during CX races, fast and grippy for our mostly dry courses in L.A. A solid choice.

Little knobbies worries me about rolling resistance but aft some rides they roll super on and off road.

Easy to mlm install and it is tubeless. It provide good tractiion on dirt road.

Typically run maxxix tires on my mtb, and is my go to choice. So when I saw these for gravel And read a couple of reviews, seemed like a good way to go. Pretty supple and good traction in dry conditions. Havent had them wet and muddy.

This is one of the best tires I tried for gravel. At only 490 gr is really a light weight tire.

Great intermediate tread CX tire. Likely not bad for wet gravel, but have not had a chance to try that use.

It appears that Maxxis has addressed one of the complaints concerning mounting of the Rambler. Out of the box the rambler has an open U shape making it easier to set up tubeless. I was expecting a struggle but the tire popped on easily in contrast to the first tire from 2016. Thanks Maxxis for the improvement to this already great tire.

Smooth rolling tire on road and hard-pack. Great traction in the corners on gravel.

After I crashed in a curve with some new IRC Boken tubeless 40c tires I switched to these tires and so far, so good although I'm not hitting the curves as hard either.

Rolls well does great in rough as well

I really like this one in the winter. It wears pretty easily on pavement but is excellent for gravel and light mud.

I have these set up tubeless on my gravel Bike and love riding any surface from pavement to trails to gravel. They feel great and have plenty of traction.

Overall great traction and puncture protection. Tire is definitely catered towards hardback to loose over hard conditions.
