This tire (or is it tyre?) provides great grip as long as you are not turning.
The gap in the tread between the shoulder and the main surface of the tire where there are no blocks causes non linear steering response and loss of grip. To get around this, I really have to lean the bike into the turn to get the shoulder tread blocks to grip.
Maxxis knows this too. That is why they built the Assegai. A much better front tire.
I also think Michelin Wild Enduro front is a better tire than the Maxxis Minion DHF/DHR.

Was looking for tire with more grip than the xr4s on my Trek. Got exactly that!

Excellent to catch the side impact to hlep stay on your bike but comes with low response to accelarate.

These really make my bike pop. I love the two tone. Grip seems to be top notch also.

One of the best front tires period. Great sidewalls too.
