It is a bit costly as most Maxxis tires are. Mounted on 30mm ID rims the 2.40WT measures almost exactly 2.3". The 2.6 measures 2.5". For a wide front tire the 2.6 works better for my style of initiating and holding turns. Neither are too round a profile.

The tread pattern provides predictable traction in most conditions, especially compared to the previous version of the Forekaster. Highly recommend!
