Picked this up to pair with a Maxx Grip DHR II for the rear. This tire grips so well in the wet season, especially in loam. Running maxx grip lets me run a slightly higher tire pressure for roll speed, and let the rubber compound do it's job.

Replaced a DHF with the Assegai.. consistent cornering. Went to thicker casing. This reduced rebound caused be a thinner tire Sidewall.

When going downhill and you want to stick to the trail.... this tire is the one. Paired with DHR in the back, of course. The Assegai is a bit more versatile than the DHF.

Good compromise between toughness and weight. Intermediate compound. Gives good warning before it washes out. Mounts easy

If your looking for grip the Assegai is the right choice - for gravity or aggressive E-MTB -love this tire- I'd does roll slow so not my choice for AM or Trail riding .
