My original rear wheel failed after a 4000 plus mile tour which included the Dalton Highway. After I had a few broken spokes and a number of small cracks that developed around the rims spoke holes on the rear wheel, I started searching for a new set of wheels and the Mavic ALLROADs seem to be the perfect wheelset for my kind of riding. I have always had such good luck with Mavic wheels and these wheels were just as described and arrived quickly. After I have a few thousand miles on these wheels I would be able to give a better review, but I have thousands of miles on my other Mavic wheels and they still run true without issue and I see no indication that the ALLROADs would be any different.

I was looking for a reasonable cost weight strength trade off for my gravel bike. I weigh in at 230lbs and was preparing for the Dirty Kanza. I have a frame that would only accept 35mm tires. These wheels were flawless in training rides and on the brutal flint rocks. Paired tubeless with 35mm Michelin Power Gravel tires i got away with NO flats.

When I received the wheels they spun true. After a few easy rides I had a ticking noise. This was from a spoke unwinding and coming loose. When I went to re-tension the wheel I checked spoke tensions and they are all over the place. Poor rim drilling tolerances most likely.
