I like that you can have a constant rear facing light to not annoy motorist, especially while stopped at at intersections, but also have the downward facing pulsing light. I find the downward light helps make you more visible from the side, which is the most common place to not be seen at night. The light unit itself seems well built. There are quite a few modes to run this light in, and it is difficult to tell which mode you're actually in while cycling thru them, as they can seem pretty similar. It does remember your last mode, so if you're a set it and forget it kind of person, this likely isn't a problem as long as you don't accidentally hit the button a second time when turning it on. I can't really comment on any of the "smart" modes as I don't trust them to be working properly when I can't see it behind me, and don't really find them necessary. The runtime chart can be a little confusing, but basically the downward light only runs when it senses you're in the dark, so that is why the "day" runtimes are typically higher than the "night" runtimes for a given mode. The runtime is shorter when the downward light is on at night. The strap needs improvement. It is light duty and the light can wander a bit on round seatposts when on rough roads. My strap started to split at the hole I use after 6-8 weeks, but BTD did their best to take care of me even though they didn't carry replacement straps. They can be found at other retailers for a few bucks. All-in-all I'd buy it again, purely for the downward light feature.

This is a great product that I have been using for 3 months. The light detaches from the mount by flipping 90 degrees for easy reacharging. The light uses a USB-C charger thanks be to God! So many of my other lights have corrupted charge ports or they quit charging. The best light I have purchased.
