Before I found out about the transfer head, I had a really hard time pumping up my tires. The included Presta adapter does not make a very solid connection with the valve so you'll be pumping and there will be a ton of air leak unless you really push the pump hard against the valve. I literally went through an entire charge just to pump up one tire because I had such a hard time trying to make a good connection.
It wasn't until I read Keith's review on 1/4/2026 that I looked into using the transfer head, which, as he describes, is a screw-on Presta head. The key is the screw-on portion which, when combined with the hose extension, now allows the pump to make a solid connection with the valve, no longer resulting in loss of air during the pumping process. Now the product works as intended, but the instructions need to be way clearer to explain this.

I was not a huge fan of the packable E-Pump category but can't deny the usefulness. I fly with my bike a lot and can't pack CO2 canisters. Sure - I pack a hand pump but decided to try one of these pumps. Figured if BTD sells this brand, must be vetted. Well 10 days of gravel riding around MX I never took out the hand pump. I was riding tubeless so no flats, but lots of self-sealing cactus punctures that required 'topping off'. Pump worked flawlessly. 48MM tires. Back hope I tested the pump with 30mm road tires. I get 3 full inflations for zero psi. Pump battery ran out during 4th fill. Pump gets warm but valve was still just warm to the touch. Think it will be OK for plastic stems used with many TPU tubes.

So far I am really stoked about this little beauty! Have used it to fill gravel and road tires, up to 2 tires on a single charge from low 20s to 40 and 80 respectively and still had charge left. It's loud and it gets warm but a small price to pay to have it in the seat bag! Have stopped carrying CO2 and I have high hopes for at least a year or two. Best feature by far is the pressure reading, setting and automatic shutoff. Pressure gauge appears be accurate based on my highly calibrated squeeze the sidewall tests. I have already recommended to 2 of my riding buds and so far so good. I recommend this mini pump and keep my fingers crossed for it lasting at least a while!

I have been airing up bike tires for years and this pump makes a lot of noise like it is pumping, but it doesn't put out enough volume to inflate the tire. I actually tried it on both presta valves and Schrader valves, it made no difference. The pressures were lower than before I started in both cases. Maybe it was just a bad pump and other examples might work fine. Price was right from BTD! Just wish it had worked!

Great for traveling. Don't have to pack a pump in your bike bag.

This tiny air pump is perfect...in its size and function. Directions are simple to understand. If your bike tire needs a full air up to pressure or just a squirt or two, use this cool pump and carry in in the bike bag.

Have not needed to use it on a ride, but worked great in the shop. Gives me another option along with CO2 setup. Nice compact size, easily fits in my jersey and offers peace of mind.

Used this pump on several flats inflating to 90 psi. The pump shows charge level, getting about three inflates per charge. The pump is loud and somewhat heavy, I carry it in a fanny pack with lunch on longer rides, The controls are a bit tiny, but workable. Pleased with the pump!

I usually don't buy products that are new to the market, but a mini compressor has definitely been necessary. This thing has been very reliable. I've used it about 5 times in the last few months. No issues and good battery life, in my opinion. It's a great competitor to the more expensive ones when it's on sale.

Hard to get started - had to push start button repeatably (was fully charged)!
Tire filled to 45 psi easily - unit did get warm! The presta valve hose connector is too short to stay fastened to presta valve - it works but needs watching!

Luckiy no flats yet but pumped up one tire when adding sealant with no problems.

Carry it on rides, along with manual pump for backup.

Magicshine needs to explain how its products work. Both the instructions in the box and website are vague and unhelpful. It took scanning through YouTube videos and customer comments to uncover the secret to what is labeled as a 'transfer head' in the instruction manual. It's actually a screw-on Presta head to attach on the end of the short 'air tube" that is described as being helpful in tight situations. In my case, it is the only way to fill my tires successfully. The short, stubby rubber Presta adapter proved to be totally worthless because it couldn't create a complete seal on the valve. Now that I am squared away, the pump works great.
