My old Garmin Varia was only holding a charge for around 3 hours. So, it was time to replace it. This tail light was just released. I've been happy with other Lezyne products and this was also about $50 less than the base Varia model and way less than the new Varia. I've now used it for about 2 weeks and I'm really happy with the performance of this product. The warnings are exactly the same as the old Varia. I've not had any false positives or false negatives. On top of all that, I got 14 hours of riding out of my first charge. That's about double what I ever got out of the Varia, even when it as new.
The only downside to this light is the way it attaches to your bike. It's just a rubber strap around your seat post. There's no way to attach it to a tab on a saddle bag or saddle rails. It's easy to move from bike to bike, but I wish there was more flexibility in where you can mount it.
Even with the lack of mounting options, I'm still very happy with this tail light.

I've ridden with this for 4 months now and I'm done making excuses for it. First, the merely annoying: the mounting system is fussy and not stable. The strap has to be pulled to nearly breaking to feel somewhat secure and it still flops around despite using the included seat post adapter.
It powers on to standby or radar-only whenever it is plugged in to charge and I have to remember to turn it off before storing it. This is on me, I should have learned after the first incident but I forget and set out for a ride with a dead or nearly drained taillight as a result.
The dangerous/useless part: it misses cars coming up from behind and will suddenly alert me of cars just as they are passing. It doesn't happen every ride but it happens often enough that I've come up with my list of reasons that might explain the failure: the road is wet, it is raining, the slope of the road is too steep, it isn't working on curves, the car is moving too slowly, the car is moving too fast. It happens often enough that I don't trust it and have come to ignore the alert.
If it mounted well and I could disable the radar it would be a very expensive taillight with good visibility and variety of patterns. It doesn't, so it is not even that.
