I don't even realize it's on the back of my helmet.Daytime use on the highway.

Bright light but cheaply made. The plastic hook which attaches to helmet broke after 2 uses. Do not bump it while it is on helmet. Cracked when setting helmet into helmet bag.

Attaches very nicely to the back of all Lazer helmets. One button operation makes it easy to use. The magnetic connector to the charging cable is also very convenient.

I was cautiously optimistic since some of the reviewers questioned the durability of this light but I have been happy with it ever since. It seems solid although I haven't dropped it (helmets shouldn't be dropped in the first place). It holds a charge extremely well for such a small unit (lasts 4-5 days for about 2 hours/day before recharge is needed) and I feel like it gives an additional level of visibility and protection. I commute 32 miles a day and spend a lot of time on suburban roads so every bit helps. I use the blinking function every morning and at night in the winter.

This is a handy safety device that locks into a socket integrated into the back of some of Lazer's helmets, including the Vento. A socket on a velcro strap is included for mounting it on many other helmets, including Lazer's G1. Useful flash patterns, including motion-sensing on the daytime-flash option. And the control button has a clever flexible cover to keep the unit waterproof.
(1) For daytime use, brighter would be better, say 80 rather than 40 lumens. Replace the 4 10-lumen LEDs with 20-lumen ones? Flash patterns could be adjusted to avoid decrease in battery life.
(2) Lazers use of a magnetic charging connector (rather than the usual micro-USB-with-a-cover) is a clever way to make the unit waterproof. Unfortunately the connector button seems to be glued to the units case. I had to get a replacement unit because the button came off. If the case had a slot that the buttons flange slid into before gluing, this would not happen.
So 4 stars until Version 2 comes out.
