After trying most other cycling shoes, I am a dedicated Lake shoe wearer. I need a regular heel, regular upper volume and a wide ball of foot/toe box. Lake nails those requirements. And their shoes are great quality and last a long time. It's early days, but we'll see if that's true of the suede-like finish of these gravel ones. My only note is that the volume seems to be different in the road (cx) vs mtb/gravel (mx) of the same shoe model. In the cx238, I wear a wide for the extra volume. It fits great. In the mx238, I wear a standard. It fits great. I tried the mx238 wide and there was way too much volume.

Shoes are super personal but if these fit your feet you'll be super happy. Well made, supple suede upper, stiff sole, lots of protection for the carbon sole with walkable rubber... basically it ticks all the boxes for me.
The only negative is the weight. These are not light shoes, but if you can overlook that they're pretty near perfect.

Comfortable, well made, true to size, cinchers work very well. Comfortable walking in, wouldn't wamt to walk any distance in them

I didnt realize how comfortable cycling shoes could be until I try this lake gravel shoe.
The increase with in the toolbox makes for an amazingly comfortable without sacrificing efficiency or unnecessary foot, movement.
I highly recommend the shoe!

Bought these for the stiff carbon sole and wider fit. Not dissapointed. Excellent power transfer to the pedals, while the shoes are still walkable. I actually wear these on my road bike. This that one shoe for all bikes!
