Kendas a bargain

Replaced the aged Kendas on my '72 Katara with these and new tubes and liners. Look good, easy to install, no loss of pressure in 3 weeks. A rider would know instantly that these are not top of the line tires, but I'll pocket the savings and savor the fact that these tires do the job at a bargain price. BikeTiresDirect made the purchase easy and quick

Thank you for your feedback.

Great tire, comfotable ride, holds pressure

Tires were easy to install. I have already put close to 300 miles on them. Ride is comfortable, tire pressure is intact.

Thank you for your feedback.

Basically good, but 'sticky'.

Good value. I do casual ten and twenty mile rides on hard surface county roads. Tires have deep tread so tire is a little softer and feels more 'sticky' on the road with more friction. Not as firm and smooth rolling as my old road tires. Not sure I would purchase these a second time. Will do deeper research next time.

Would be a good weekend tire for gravelly bike trails.

Thank you for your feedback.

Decent tire for the money.

Bike's Schwalbe Stelvios' wirebeads failed catasrophically. Needed replacement tires. Ordered these up for an older Univega Viva Sport II as the Gumwalls give more of a vintage look. Rubber is noticably harder for less grip but more durability on rough surfaces. Bike went through 5 miles of aged asphalt (almost gravel) 90psi and inspection of the rear tire treads showed almost no wear whatsoever.

Was told to minimize exposure to sunlight because of the sidewalls. But so far so good!

Thank you for your feedback.

Nice quality tire with a price that can't be beat.

I buy and sell loads of vintage road bikes. There is no other deal better than this. Trust me, I am a cheap Irishman, and I stretch my pennies into copper wire. -)

Thank you for your feedback.

Excellent basic road tire.

I wanted black walls but they were sold out in this size so I bought these instead. Not overly flashy or tarted up, just a good, basic working mans tire for a good price.

Thank you for your feedback.

Tough, Durable Tires w Excellent Grip

Listening to the advice of a skilled cyclist that uses the same tires, I recently bought these to replace the tires on my vintage, road bike. Kenda Tires recommends a break-in period of 60-100 miles, and since following that, I have been very impressed with them.

First, TPI (Threads Per Inch) is at a low, 22. This means that, while it may be heavier, has a bit more rolling resistance and is not as grippy as a tire with a higher TPI, it has impressive durability and protection against common road hazards. I can go full throttle on rough areas with lots of nasty road obstacles and not worry about getting a flat tirepuncture.

Second, grip is actually quite good, despite having a low TPI. Though they are not super-lightweight, racing tires, they have solid grip. I have been able to confidently take high-speed, 40 mph corners with no problems.

Overall, these are very good tires. If you are looking for tires that have excellent durability against road hazards, solid grip for street use and the gumwall style to preserve the look of your vintage road bike, these would be a good match for you.

P.S. Please take out cruiser tires from the description, as cruiser tires are typically in 24 to 26 sizes.

Thank you for your feedback.

Good tread, but you pay for what you get

Good tread on these tires. I use them for my 6 mile round trip to work bike. Only had them for about 2 months and they look kind of shabby.

Thank you for your feedback.

Exceptional value. Very pleased.

I don't ride far, basically just around town. This tire seems tough, compact, nothing extraneous. I like it. And what a value!
