solid tire for urban assaults on the MTB. No problems at all

As much as I like the Elliptigo 8C, with the pavement conditions and high summer temperatures in Dallas it has an amazing appetite for tires. After trying to get one more ride out of my first set only to have one of those catastrophic wear through, can't be fixed blowouts (as far from home base as possible, of course) I decided to be more proactive. Thankfully Biketiresdirect.com was there to keep me in Kenda's at a great price and with their always excellent service.
The only thing I wish they tires had was some kind of wear tabindicator that could help me know how much tire there is left.

It seems the rubber compound is a bit harder than other tyres. Sunlite is a meatier tread and seems more like real rubber. This Kenda will be OK but I do prefer the Sunlite tread design , had to wait for ever for Sunlite and ordered Kenda also. Thanks Wooden Shoe Biker

Hi everyone, I'm Dan and I ride a vintage steel frame Specialized Rockhopper in the City of Norfolk VA daily, been riding this same bike for over two decades now. I'm 200 lbs, the bike's frame is heavy, and I ride as hard and long as any 57 year old is capable of. I jump numerous types of infrastructure on the fly, a lot of non-handicap curbs, I ride roads, sidewalks, dirt, grass, anything the city gives me to work with, which isn't much by the way. I'm presently doing it with a second set of these Kenda tires, mine are 26 inch and rated 100 psi.
These are great tires for the price, I ride them hard and fast everyday and keep them at a maximun air pressure. Won't say they are indestructable, I've had to toss a couple aside,(busted tire cord) but that was probably more on me going too fast and not timing the rear tire correctly jumping concrete curbs. Aside from those mishaps these will be a great economical investment for that city town mountain biker looking for added speed and fun to his urban commute.
This is Dan signing off, Y'all stay good and safe out there now hear?

Within the first. 3 days I had a flat due to a large thorn. Other than that it has gone flat free for 700 miles. It has good traction and rolls well. I upgraded from mountain bike tires. I was planning to upgrade my mountain bike to a road bike but after changing to these tires I am very satisfied on the performance of the bike with these tires on the pavement. I am not using them for any off roading.

Switched my MTB from 26x1.95 to these and they are working great.

My Wife & I are daily riders and many times have thought of ditching the mountain bikes for road bikes but we really like our bikes and have logged thousands of miles on them. I decided to research tire options and found these 26x1.5 tires. Bought 4 of them, upgraded to the high pressure models and man are they nice? My Wife said without a doubt it made hill climbing much more bearable. Nice, light and just the right amount of tread for our riding. I was ready to pull the trigger on two $629 hybrid bikes but for less than $80 we have new bikes.

I bought the 16 tires to put on my folding bike. My bike came with low-pressure (almost) knobbies which really slowed me down (about 8 miles per hour). With these Kendas I roll about 4 miles per hour faster with the same effort.

These tires roll fast. They are used on a mountain bike for paved path and commuting. Haven't had any flats yet. Mine are the 100 psi and they are kept at 90 psi.

This tire is used on my recumbent bike. I have had good luck with Kenda Kwest tires in the past.

I live on beautiful island of Maui, but Maui roads are frequently covered with sharp construction debris, freshly broken glass from many fender benders and careless discarded beer bottles, and the nastiest surprise are tough little tree
thorns, but I love bicycling on Maui. Any the Kenda Kwest tire are long wearing, durable against punctures if properly inflated. Available in many high pressure sizes for road use bikes. Best of the gems are very reasonably priced most bike
shop do not stock enough though. I am very pleased long term customer of these
Kenda Kwest 193 tires. I ride 20 to 50 miles most days oft the year. I only drive
very nasty weather.

I use these tires on a fold-up Hon bike, and they have improved the stability and ride - plus, they have proven very durable.

Recently purchased Kenda Kwest 100psi tires to replace my aging Michelin Country Rocks. This tire is of comparable weight (a little less), but firmer and faster with improved roll and slightly lower profile. They are priced well and appear to be constructed durably. I weigh nearly 200 and ride on any surface in any condition and will even compete on this bike (road). So far I'm pleased!

The tread area is thick and these tires roll fast. I put these on my hardtail and increased speed by 4 mph while using the same effort. Not quite as fast as a road tire but they are a big improvement over knobbies if you pretty much only do pavement. I have them at 95 psi and they work great.

I use these tires as a set of road tires to put on my mt. bike. I ride them mostly around town but they are even tough enough for the occassional dirt road or bike trail. Over all I am very satisfied with their performance.

I do most of my riding on the road. I use my Mtn Bike in the rain to protect my Road Bike. With this high psi tire, my Mtn Bike is almost as fast as my Road Bike.
Great durability and rocket fast. I highly reccomend them. Plus they are inexpensive.

We bought a B.O.B IronMan stroller for our 1 yr. old boy as we still train for multi-sport. Many miles later and now on the 2nd set of replacement tires. The original tires did not last very long. These K193 Kwest tires run higher pressure and roll much smoother. Looks like a better product so far.
