When used properly, these tires are excellent. I use my mountain bike mostly for an 8 mile sprint ride on a dam behind my house. Yeah, that's not what the bike is for, but I was really out of shape - why would you take the easy way out if you are trying to get back into shape and are serious about it?? But I digress. On pavement and dry pack these babies fly! If you ride around town and are looking for a tire that can do that and some simple trails, you can't go wrong with these. HOWEVER - I took these to a canyon to ride some trails. Big mistake. These are like mud magnets, it packs on and you can't get it off. Not made for this or climbing steep rocky trails - you get no grip. Purchase a set of tires made for these conditions.

I purposely waited several months to review this tire. I wanted to make sure I was convinced of its abilities. For my purposes, it has proven to be outstanding. I typically ride daily anywhere from 5 to 20 miles. 80/20 street/trail use. I agree, it's rolls fast and corners very well on both street and hardpack, dry or wet. It will spin in loose dirt and pack up in mud, however, I am aware of this when I occasionally encounter that terrain so it's not much of a problem for me. It was designed as a fast hardpack tire. Tire wear seems to be reasonably slow at a nice hard 55 psi. If you ride street/trail, this tire will suit you nicely.

I ride a bicycle for exercise only, mostly on asphalt, cement, and a little grass/dirt. This tire looked good to me and the reviews were not disparaging so I bought it. It is of the foldable design. I was not familiar with this term and it bit me. This foldable tire is very hard to get on the wheel straight and uniform. One needs about six hands to hold in places with another two to add air. It is smooth at slow speeds perhaps due to the small size of the knobs. At higher speeds it is still smooth, but feels out of round. This is a matter of my mounting technique I'm sure but could not do any better. I think a good design characteristic should also include ease of installation. Maybe I should stick to walking!

These tires are on a comfort bike that came stock with 1.95s.The 2.1s look great, no problem with fitment. Quiet on asphalt, rolls fairly well.. I run them front and back and would buy again

Got this email to share my opinion about this product and was going to say the tires are great...I have them on both back and front, I ride mostly hard packed terrain here in Southern California and the tires felt really trust worthy and I would recommend them...BUT...I had a ride set for this Saturday, check my bike Friday night and the back tire was really low on air, but not completely flat. So I pump it up and there is a sidewall tear and my tube is sticking out and hissing like snake (Yeah, I don't run tubeless,I ride platform pedals also and my bike is heavy, so big deal.)I did a repair job with some gorilla tape and rode Saturday anyhow, but assume it's just a matter of time before the tear spreads and renders the tire useless. So now instead of being stoked, I get to be slightly bummed. I only got 4 rides out of this back tire.

Do not buy these tires. The side wall blows out due to poor manufacturing a thin design.

Good tire for the money. Takes a while to mount tubeless and prevent leaks. You will need about the amount of Stan's normally required. Once it is sealed up it is a good tire for hard-pack courses. Tough to beat for the weight and price.

Great tires...fast...can go high pressure for rail trail or road stuff....did I say they are fast...

Great XC tire, with surprising uphill traction. Best used on the rear as hard braking can upset the front traction.

Low rolling resistance, but they don't grip all that well in sand, stay to the hard pack and they are great.

Handles everything well (except maybe wet sandy areas that clog up the tread for a few minutes) in the MDVADC area. Great on rocks and roots, climbs well and holds a hard turn on dirt firmly. Can't see any reason to go back to any other tire used previously.

Solid tire that performs well under most conditions

These have been great all around tires. Nice traction for most conditions and traction is lost predictably. They roll pretty fast on hardpack. I run them at 25-30 psi with no pinch flats yet (I've never even bottomed out the tire onto the rim). I've had them on for 3 months or so now with very little noticeable wear. For the lightweight and the price it's a nice tire.

Got thes tires two days a go, rode to work today with them. My ride is 80% street and the rest hard packed sandy surface, handled well on both. Much qieter than my old WTB knobbies. Was able to up my avg speed by a couple mph, and got to work a few minutes sooner. Will def buy again.

This is a great tire for mountain bikes used for urban or suburban areas. It is super light,a hell lot faster than my stock mountain bike tires, and works excellent on pavement, great on wet pavement, nice on dirt, and good for terrain. Also, it seems like there is barely any rolling resistance. Overall, excellent tire!

I mostly ride loose over hardpack with some rocks in Pheonix - great tire. Replaced rear that came with bike (stumpy expert) and noticed huge improvement in speed and handling. Second ride included long section of teeth chattering downhill over rocks and noticed split sidewall when I got home. Patched easily but am reserving for non-rock rides.

I've used these in soft track and pavement. Great grip. Medium term life. highly recommended

I am using these on my Kona 2-9 hardtail. I wanted a tire than can handle a lot of PSI (I run 85) so I could ride my mt. bike to work and not be a complete slug on the road. These work great for that, and when I take shortcuts on horse trails, or hop on a local mt bike trail system on the ride home, I can handle most terrain. If it is wet or muddy, these are not so great on dirt--but they work well on wet roads and pavement. These are my go-to tires when I know I am sticking to hardpackpaved stuff.
