Been using this tire for over 10 years and it still delivers outstanding performance on a lot of different conditions. They have just recently updated the side labels on the tire so it looks a little different but he tread still looks the same. Wears well in the DTC model and does not cost you a arm and leg like some other tire brands.

The last three Stick-E Nevegal tires I have owned have all failed way before the tread is worn out. On two if them - the sidewall has rotted or juts split near the rim-in the same exact place both times. On this last tire one of the knobby treads has peeled off. leaving the tire's inside frail lining exposed.
Anyhow I used to be a big fan but its obvious that either the workmanship and quality has suffered over the past 2- 3 years- or its just a coincidence that these tires have all failed due to my riding conditions etc. I am not a racer- maybe these tires are lighter for racing and therefore lack the durability a thicker tire might offer.
Anyhow I am done with the Nevegal and am moving to a more durable tire that will last more than 20 rides

I have heard some tires are not true, I have not had that problem.

Love these tires in the wet and dry. Durable but has good traction. These tires are the standard all other tires should be held to.

Awesome Tires. They Look Greate on my Bike.

Have had three sets of theses tires with no issues, if I don't take my time seating them they will wobble. If you only inflate to 35psi then the tire is not seated properly. I'll pump mine to around 60psi before the literally POP into place. After that no issues

This is a great all around tire for long wear and good traction and strength. I ride mostly dry terrain and it does last a good while and provides great traction.

I have used this brand of tires for many years, mountain biking on all different trail surfaces from rocky to loose dirt. I keep buying these tires because they are sticky and grippy yet last for a long time even though they are soft.
Highly recommend them.

I live dead in the middle of the traverse range of mountains in Southern California. As such I normally encounter dry conditions. I have always simply bought the most economical tires from the local bike shop, figuring there would not be much difference. I was wrong. I can't begin to tell you how impressed I was by the Kenda Nevgals. Hard-pack with lose sand spread over it - no slippage, Deep sand - had a tendency to glide right on top without sinking, rock and shale - no problem. I had read from reviews here that some people were not impressed because the tires had excessive run-out - I had no such problem, but, then again I am always careful and tedious when it comes to seating the tire bead. The price is also right. I will surely be sticking with these tires from here on out, and yes, the pun was intended. Thanks Bike Tires Direct

Still the best in my book for close to 10 years I think. I have tried them all. I ride hard pack, loose, rocks, roots, occasional sand, and very little mud (only when I can't avoid it). Climb great, confident fast turns and breaking (with lower pressures). As for cost... reasonable for this level of tire. For reference, I run 26x2.1 rear and 26x2.35 front, and terrains I ride throughout the year include north and central Texas, Santa FeTaos New Mexico, Vail area Colorado, and south Tahoe NevadaCalifornia. Both front and rear tires are 5-10 pounds over minimum pressure. Yes, people complain they not fast on concrete, and it's reue... but then, THEY ARE NOT ROAD TIRES! Do you want an off road tires to grip off road, or on road. Can't have both successfully. ) Some complain about them being out of round. I've seen that, but it just means they aren't seated. Nevegal's are tight fitting tires, especially on beefier wheels. Use a little soapy water on the bead (tubeless or with tubes) when you put 'em on, and no more out of round every time!

This is a great and simple tire. If you look at some of the tires out there with all the finite element analysis and crazy knobs you would think this tire would never work. Not so! This tire rolls slow, yes, but will always hook up. Maybe not what you want in shale conditions but in the muddy roots of the Northwet it hooks up great. You can really rail on the corners on this and feel confident it's not going to give out. Very comparable to the Holy Roller.

I purchased a set of these tires for an upcoming mountain bike race. While training on them I was amazed how well they gripped in the corners. During the race, they performed extremely well and the traction on uphills was excellent. Best of all, no flats! I would definitely buy a set of these tires again, especially at the price that I paid.

Been using these for years and I simply can't complain about them. Just ripped my oem Kenda Karma racing tires on the trail -w hich I knew would happen eventually since they're so light. Putting the nevegals on cuz I know they hold up and grip. Not the fastest rollers in the world, but great for the trail any day, any season.

Regarding the last two reviews, If your tire is lumpy 99 times out of a hundred it means that your bead isnt seated because it is just tight, (like if your using tubeless rims), or your rim strip is off to one side and under the bead, or your tube is under the bead, and not allowing it to seat properly. Very rarely will you have a defective tire. If you rotate the tire after you put a little air in it you will know whether it is seated. If its not seated, pump it up to max pressure and it will pop into place, just like a tubeless tire. If you can see a visible deformation of the tire while it's off of the rim it's a defect. If it looks fine you have another problem.
The tires are great and I've never had a defective Kenda.

I ride my Ellsworth Truth off road and mounted the 2.1 Nevegal sticky on my front tire. It feels stable in corners with the wet stuff. Keeps a smooth line in the sand to. Feels fine over rocks and stumps as well. I use thorn proof tubes front and rear as the single track on the Cape offers many thorny and rock encrusted trails such as the Trail of tears in West Barnstable for example. I gone on five rides so far and no flats not even a slow leak. I mention this fact because the Blue Groves that the Nevegal replaced experienced chronic flats on these same trails. So far so good, peace to all !!!

I try alot of tires and this is the one I always come back to. Maybe not the best in every condition but day in and day out the best all-around off road tire I've tried so far.

I bought a new bike with Kenda small block eights. I have to admit that I rode it on two VERY muddy days over rocks and roots. I had impressive traction and control. Then I got a pinch flat, not one, but 6!!! which apparently the tire is infamous for. So, I decided to replace them with the NEVEGAL. Just like the other guy said, they're not even CLOSE to true. They have such a bad wobble I wouldn't even waste my time taking them up to the mountain, they are going straight back to the store, and I am never buying KENDA again. I have been using WTB velociraptors for years, I am getting a set of those for my new bike, they are great.....

Ride a combination of road, trials and single track. These work very well on muddy, uneven tracks and trails. on dry trails who ever is behind you will eat dust because they will stir it up. on roads they will give you a work out due to there high rolling resistance and they will wear quickly.

I put this tire on the front of my mountin bike. Immediately during my first ride there was excessive vibration. I thought perhaps the shock was in need of repair, but no, it was caused by the tire which was not true, not round. There was at least a 14 inch difference in the height of the tire as it rotated. It was a terrible experience, and I will never buy Kenda again.

Best tire for all mountain biking, not just XC but HD and FR too. Best traction in wet or dry conditions, far superior to Maxis Minions.
