I use these tubes for training in the summer and winter months. I was using a super light Kenda, but those were too prone to pinch flats. When I tried the standard weight Kendas, I haven't gone back since.

For general riding

I bought half a dozen of these near the beginning of the year. I have 3 road bikes and rarely have flats, so I figured this was probably at least a two year supply. I put the first one on in March with a new rear tire. It was good for a month, but developed a slow leak on the second half of a ride. I changed it out and was good for the ride home, But then 2 was flat when I pulled the bike out for next weeks ride. I changed it out and checked the leak when I got home and found a very small, like smaller than a pinhole on a seam. Next week, with tube 3 the very same thing happens, same kind of small leak on a seam. I'm think ok, that's like one in a million, these are very highly rated, couldn't happen again. This time with 4 I'm good the first week, good the second and third, then it fails on the fourth week. I say I'm done, put a different brand in and I'm fine until today. I have my first legitimate flat with blowout and obvious cut on the tire from debris. I change the tire and again try to have faith in this tube by putting 5 on Sunday morning, knowing I can change it before the ride next week if it's another slow leaker. Guess what? The valve to tube connection was bad and every pump went right straight out. I put a new Conti tube on and 6 went in the garbage can. I'm done with bargain tubes, just not worth the hassle.

Kenda tubes are very well made and are better quality than most. I use them for training rides and do not care that they weigh more than ultra-lite racing tubes. What I care about is dependability and durability and combined with Conti Gator Skins, it makes a great combo.

I bought 4 of these tubes several months ago along with several other items from BTD on a recommendation from a salesperson ,what a mistake that was! I only recently had the need to change a tire. What a joke! i neglected to check the tube before I changed it. After the usual battle with the tire levers the the valve was bad and it wouldn't hold air at all. Okay,so I checked the next one by letting it sit for a few minutes with a few pounds of air first before I went through the tire battle again. It seemed to be fine but in a short while the air had again leaked out. I was ready to scream! Never in all my years of riding have I seen such poor quality. i have gone sometimes tor years with the same tubes in my trainer or road bike and never experienced anything like this. Two tubes with two bad valves, you must be kidding! It 's probably too late to ask for my money back but be warned !

I ordered a pair with my new tires and found that one had a defect (cracks & hole). Actually, both tubes looked like they didn't go through the mold process very well. BTD shipped me no-hassle replacements (Thanks!). The replacements were fine. I examined the boxes of both shipments to see if maybe it was a bad batch. While the packaging was identical, I noticed that the first (defective) tubes were made in China while the replacements were made in Taiwan. Replacement tubes have been performing very well (what I'd expect of Kenda), with nearly 2000 miles on them so far.
So, I recommend carefully checking over those made in China. In particular, if the size imprint is blotchy (not molded well), don't take a chance on them.

Had one tube where the valve got stuck and another tube with a slow leak in the valve.

Great long lasting tube for a cheap price

Solid product from a quality manufacturer and has a smooth stem, which works much more smoothly with my floor pump than any threaded stem tube does. Never had a manufacturing quality problem with any Kenda tube.

I've been using these affordable mid-weight tubes for years. Usually buy about 8 per year, and they hold up well. Very rarely get flats. If I do get a flat it's because of some sharp object or glass that would flat any tube in general. Don't waste you time on super lightweight tubes, these perform well under all conditions and have good rolling resistance as well.

Have used these tubes many times in past. Least expensive yet great quality. Get the longest stem.

I was able to use VIP Points to buy these tubes so the only cost was for shipping. Makes them a real value and they are a great product besides.

I find they lose air a little faster than some other tubes.

Great price on these standard tubes. Don't waste your time on superlight tubes, stick to these standard ones. I've been riding them for years, including gravel roads, with very few flats. Most of the flats I got were from glass or other sharp objects which would have punctured any tube regardless. Stock up when they go on sale, and ride worry free!

With the price of tubes going up, the Kenda tube from Bike Tires Direct is a reasonable alternative that will last and get you to where you want to go. The standard thickness is not heavy, and lasts. Don't waste your money on tubes. Buy the Kenda, and save your money for other items.
Thanks for your feedback. These tubes are one of our most popular and well-received products with our customers, and it's surprising to hear that someone had a negative experience with the tubes. Please call or email us at your convenience and we will get you set up with some replacement tubes!
Best, Derek
