I couldnt be happier with my Karoo Hammerhead 3! The unit has exceeded my expectations in every way, and I want to give a special shout-out to BTD for their excellent support and professionalism throughout the process.
What stands out most about the Karoo 3 is how intuitive it is to use. Setting it up was a breeze, and switching profiles between multiple bikes is seamless. The routing features are incredibly user-friendly, making it easy to follow routes, whether planned or spontaneous. Ive also found the Climber feature to be invaluablehaving that detailed information during climbs has made a huge difference in my rides.
All in all, the Karoo Hammerhead 3 is a fantastic cycling computer. Highly recommended!

Having owned the Karoo 2 since it was released, I became a big fan of the Hammerhead system. Favorite new features of this latest version, simply called the Karoo, is the amazing screen. Much easier to see in daylight. Secondly, the buttons are easier to press and quicker to use. The battery life is also much better thanks to the auto brightness function. Louder alert beeps make it easy to hear and the quicker processor makes the unit snappier overall. That said, there is still some lag when using the touchscreen, but not enough to be a problem.
This model is a big upgrade that I feel is worth it.

The display is beautiful. Colorful and easy to follow navigation. Battery was still 35% after 3 days of riding in Death Valley and didn't charge it once. Very intuitive setup and simple map place from ride with gps. I've had several different Garmins and this computer is superior on every level. Buy it.

I'm a Karoo 2 user for almost 3 years. Bought the new Karoo on short notice with a significant discount without researching. SDK is not enabled and SRAM has been non-responsive since launch despite hundreds of requests. You can still side load any app you want including Ki2 which allows integration with Di2 but it won't operate when riding. Nor will any other non-preloaded app.
It has a brilliant screen and much better button operation. Can't confirm battery life as I only went on one 2 hr ride. Sadly, I returned it because it is worthless to me without SDK enabled.
Rolling with my K2 when segment hunting and Edge 1040 Solar recently purchased on sale from BTD.

I got my Karoo from BTD back in early June. Unfortunately, I'm on my second one, having the first replaced directly by Hammerhead (which was a nice customer service gesture). But... the second one suffers the same problem as the first: The power button sticks, causing the computer to get stuck in a power-up mode or even reboot during a ride. You have to physically dislodge the power button to solve the issue. It's too bad. I'd been using Garmin since the Edge 305 model (most recently I had the Edge 1030 Plus). I had high hopes for Karoo as many folks I know swear by the orignal and "II" model, but I can't recommend this unit. The screen is nice and easily readable (although some of the fonts are silly-small), and the way in which you load routes for guidance is pretty good. Turn-by-turn is excellent too. The hardware is the big miss for me. The screen should be bigger, and the buttons just plain suck. They include large, physical buttons on the sides for menu navigation, but there is also a touch screen, so why the redundancy (for when it rains I guess?)? The power button issue is the killer for me. Lastly - Garmin's fitness integrations and data analysis are leagues better. I didn't think I would miss those features, but I do. Very disappointed.

Sdk not enabled so useless with Shimano equipped bikes. Very poor battery life. Slow. Nice screen but some questionable ui decisions like tiny fonts. I dont know what sram is thinking releasing it like this.

This was a huge upgrade from my Garmin 530. I think the UI is the best out there, especially for Strava live segments. No bugs or issues yet, very simple to get going. Get about 13 hours of battery life.

I've been using a 5 year old Wahoo Bolt up until I got the Karoo. It is more simple to use and does SO much more without needing a complicated manual to figure it out. I'm enjoying it a lot. I do wish that it had a mounting system that was more compatible with all the mounting systems I currently have.
