After a number of rides in the cold weather I can honestly say this jacket is suited for chilly and windy days. Winter is not my favorite season to go out and ride. However, the last couple of weeks it's been around 35 degrees. This jacket insulates my upper body temperature when I leave my house around 6:30 am. Lately I've only had to wear arm warmers with a base layer and a jersey on my rides. It's incredible how this vest keeps me warm with minimal layers. However, I do wear a thermal skull cap on my rides and that also helps my upper body temperature stay regulated. I do recommend this vest if you don't like to wear too many layers/clothing on your rides.
