This has become the only windbreaker I wear or carry when I ride. It is highly waterproof, superbly breathable, ultra light-weight, well cut, and easily pack-able shell, slightly smaller than an average almond croissant when rolled up. At 6'1 and 185 lbs, the large fits perfectly, allowing for a long sleeve jersey in the winter but not too loose with a short sleeve jersey underneath.

Finally needed a new rain jacket, and bucked up at got the Gore ShakeDry. Simply awesome. Nice cut, uber lightweight, and keeps out the wet. Only used in spring conditions but very happy I spent the money.

I've had many jackets for rain and inclement weather, most fall short as they stay home, you don't expect rain, probably not worth taking up all that jersey pocket real estate, welcome shakedry. Breathabilty is at a premium here and did I mention its waterproof ? Uber small footprint in your pocket, exceptional performance on your back. fantastic jacket.
If you want to get wet, this is not your jacket.

I seriously love this jacket! It fits great, feels great and keeps me totally dry. It's definitely worth the cash. If only it came in more colors...

I was tired buying expensive rain jackets that barely breath and still wet-out in 10-30 minutes.
Does not wet-out, period.
Wonderfully breathable.
Packs down to less than most gillets
Only con so far is that zippers easily get tangled and rear pocket is not so easily accessible. This is a minor complaint.
If the jacketwaterproofing lasts more than 2 seasons, it will be well worth the money.

Great, the Swiss army knife for rainy regions.

I usually wear medium, but am happy I bought the large for winter riding. Medium too tight for under layers. I like everything except the color. I like to use my outer garments as safety coloration. The black-only offering could use a rethink. Effective, lightweight and well constructed. Hoping for new colors.

Full disclosure I work for Gore Bike Wear. As a result, I'm fortunate to have all kinds of great cycling apparel for any weather. The Shakedry technology is amazing. Weighing 116 grams, size Large, it's incredibly light and yet, every bit as waterproofwindproof as the heaviest Gore-Tex ski or backpacking version you own. Packs down into it's own pocket, easily slipping in your jersey pocket. When the rain stop, just shake it off and it's dry and ready to stow, thanks to the permanent water beading surface. It's is SOOO breathable and will never require a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) treatment like most waterproof products. It's worth every penny to be assured of comfort year round, regardless of conditions. BTW, I live and train in the Great NorthWET (Portland area).
