Review by johnkReviewed 3/5/2019by johnkCompetitive RacerNorthern CaliforniaWater Resistant, NOT WaterproofLike many others, these claim to be waterproof and based on the description I was hopeful. When I first got them I gave them the faucet test, I put the gloves on and put my hands under a running faucet for several minutes. No leakage so confidence was high. Then I went out for a 5 hour ride and it rained lightly almost the entire time. For the first hour, my hands stayed dry. However, then I could start to feel some leakage and by two hours into the ride the gloves were completely soaked through. The material is relatively thin and does not provide much insulation but they did seem to do a decent job of blocking the wind so at least my hands didn't get cold on this 50 degree day. My search for truly waterproof gloves continues.

I tried multiple sizes but the seams seem to dig into my hands. In addition, the thumbs are too short. You only notice this when on the hoods of a road bike. Flat bar bikes it might not be an issue. The other issue is that I tend to shift using my middle finger and ring finger. There are no grippers on the ring fingers so they have the tendency to slip off when pushing pressing the shift levers. It is too bad they didn't work.
