Supportive material with a dense comfortable chamois. The color pairs well with the ox blood jersey. The bibs ride up high on the front and the sides which makes them feel more supportive, but I would not wear these on the hottest days. They seem to run large. (I wear a large in almost every brand except Castelli, in which I wear an XL.) Im 5 11 and 170 lbs. I ordered a size large for the Giros and while perfectly usable, they did seem to fit a bit loose. But not to where they were sagging or anything. If you are between sizes Id recommend going with the smaller size.

If you've not ridden high quality bibs because of the prices....now's your chance.
These bibs are top notch.
Great material, great design, great quality.
Love the pockets on the back of the bib and the chamois is just the right density.
Worth every dollar.

More and more I've arrived at the opinion that Giro makes pretty nice stuff. I'm happy with about 95% of the clothing I have which is made by Giro. The Chrono Expert bib shorts are my favorite as late. Giro just cut a better garment IMO. The Chamois has good coverage in front, many bib shorts do not. There is good stomach coverage helping to push down my beer gut. Ha, ha. Compression feels good, and shorts work well in a wide range of temperatures. So far, low 50s to the low 90s has felt reasonably comfortable. I'm 6-ft 1.5 inches tall, 175 pounds, and these short fit perfectly. Also important, these bibs (using 78% recycled nylon) are part of Giro's Renew Series, which I found compelling. More companies should be working to move their clothing lines to recycled fabrics!
