Quite comfy, cool, quieter helmet

I've ridden with helmet about a month now and have nothing but positives at the moment. It's probably easiest for me to compare it to my previous helmet, Giro Pneumo, which I liked just fine.

The helmet is very comfortable and certainly feels more 'protective' than the Pneumo (completely subjective). I wasn't sure to trust the marketing that the helmet was as cool as other big-vent helmets, but that claim seems to be true as well. I live in mostly cool region, so overheating is usually not an issue. On the few warmer days I've ridden, my head has stayed as cool as when using the Pneumo.

The helmet is quieter than my Pneumo, which was a bit of a pleasant surprise.

I very much appreciate the anti-bacterial materials in the helmet's interior-they actually work. My helmet does not get gamey.

I do not use the wind visor, so can't really comment on it.

Overall, I like the styling (I'm kind of geek) and most of the features of the helmet and would buy it again!

Thank you for your feedback.

Proud owner

Am an all around cyclist. Mostly urban commuting, a lot of rural riding with a bit of off road in-between. I cant say enough about the glove like fit. the adjustments offer with this helmet allow you to dialing the perfect fit. Feels like a glove when i put it on. The ventilation is everything it is marketed to be. The vents create a noticeable flow of air across your head and keeps you as cool as possible at any rate. The Weiss lens is so clear you forget its there. The flexibility of flipping the lens around when not needed is excellent. No sunglasses needed. I love the look. Have had several comments on this helmet since wearing it. Never have had anyone comment on my helmet before.

The only chink in the armor was the roc-Loc decal on the back was at a noticeable angle and cannot be ordered as an after market item.. so unless I want to pay for shipping to send it back..Im stuck with it. Still all in all I love this nut case.

Thank you for your feedback.

Awesome Helmet!

I love the Air Attack Shield helmet by Giro. I especially like the shield! The helmet is fast, sleek, and good looking. Fit is comfortable and it is easy dial in the right fit. The shield is my favorite part. Typically I ride with glasses to keep the eyes protected and of course to keep the sun out of my eyes. I live in Florida where it is hot most of the time and very humid. Sweat is unavoidable...and it gets your glasses fogged, wet, and unsafe. The shield does not have this problem at all. The magnet attachments to keep the shield secured to the helmet are strong, and snap the lens in place. I highly recommend this helmet for anyone looking to reduce drag with out getting into a full (ugly-imo) aero helmet. This is one you can wear on training rides or in a group ride and not look like a fool!

Thank you for your feedback.

love it

I had used it for roughly a month and loved it and got into a crash and it did what it was supposed to do...protected my head like a champ! I will be saving up for another one soon. I also love the visor...it is perfect for a guy that wears glasses and doesn't want to sacrifice vision for a pair of sunglasses.

Thank you for your feedback.

great helmet

Love the magnet design, very easy to remove and holds secure. I can't seem to feel the cooling much and seem to sweat just as much as my regular helmet. I wear Rx glasses underneath and it fits well. I would like the visor to come straight across at the nose section as being asian i have small bridge and nose so that center section sticks out as a sore thumb.

With the helmet being an aerodynamicly smooth shape, their is no protection when the sun is at a low angle. I want to ride with my head tilted down most of the time or focus a few feet ahead of my bike. When sun is directly overhead or behind me there is no problem at all. The visor helps, but only so much with the direct light.

Overall i am happy with the purchase. I would recommend if you find it on sale which i did.

Thank you for your feedback.

Great Combo of Aero and Ventilation!!!

Use in full and half distance triathlons and it is a great combo of aero and ventilation. If you are doing a hot race this is the way to go.

Great for both Racing & Training

This helmet is the perfect answer to the race helmet that you can also train with while not looking ridiculous out on the road. Reversible shield makes race transitions a breeze not having to throw on your sunglasses before heading off on the bike. It's also a semi-mirror shield that looks really hot. I just received the pics from my last race and the helmet looks amazing!

Thank you for your feedback.

Great helmet - very adjustable, extremely comfortable.

I love how well this helmet fits. It is extremely comfortable. I did have to spend some time getting the proper fit - I wanted the shield in front to come low so it would protect my eyes well. This helmet fits so perfectly - it feels like it was custom made for my head. My only complaints would be that a lot of wind comes in from the sides, and I wish the shield were a little darker for bright sunny days. When it's really bright out - or windy - I'll use the helmet along with a pair of sunglasses. I do love the look when the shield is on - it is reminiscent of a fighter pilot's helmet.

Thank you for your feedback.

Slippery, Convenient & bad ass looking

Bought this for 70.3/140.6 triathlon distance racing. Very comfortable! Used it in San Juan 70.3IM under the Caribbean sun (black/red colors) and NO heat issues. Easy on/off though the Lazer Tardis magnet clasp is best in show. Love the integrated sunglass clip on. Great optics and easy to put down or up. Great aero performance specially in the above mentioned Caribbean cross winds.

Finally it is so much easier to travel with in your bag. No risk of breaking that long aero tail. And riding to race with your back pack on you do not have the tail of your helmet bumping the top of the back pack...annoying.

Great stuff from Giro.

Thank you for your feedback.

Very comfortable

Road helmets give me a headache because the shell sites on my top of my forehead. I liked the idea that the Attack suspends the helmet slightly. It works great. No headache. Very comfortable.

Light and surprisingly good ventilation

I was surprise with the weight and ventilation of this helmet. Feels light just like my Aeon and good ventilation your head is elevated from the helmet air passes through in between. Material and finish is high quality you get what you pay for plus it's a looker special in white.
