Use the 520 Garmin on a Cervelo Road Bike. It easily syncs with smart phone. Downloads activities immediately after the ride. Accurate ride data.

I've had several GPS computers including a Garmin 810. During 3 trail rides and one road ride, this GPS has failed to accurately log my speed and distance. I updated the firmware to the latest 2 months ago. Will check for another firmware update, and if the issue is fixed I will update. As it is now, it is an expensive and embarrassing waste of stem space.

Put off upgrading from 500 because it seemed to do everything I needed for road cycling. Couldn't resist taking a chance on the 520 when BTD put it on sale. Only three rides with it but don't regret at all. Love added features especially bluetooth pairing with phone as ride is uploaded without having to connect to pc. As usual great customer service, arriving a day earlier than expected.

Daily road cycling. Easy to customize and easy to use. LOTS of features, most of which I don't use, but might be handy just the same. Like if you have a power meter...

Great upgrade from my old Garmin 500. The screen is much easier to see for someone who is getting older and now needs reading glasses. It does so much more than I know how to use. It is larger and strong as I dropped it once without any problem so I purchased a case for it.

I ride on the weekends and do trainer sessions at home during the week. I had an older edge 500 for years and finally upgraded. I love this new one.

I use the Garmin for road rides only. I like the fact that I can shut off my cell phone and at the end turn the cell phone on where the Garmin automatically loads to the phone. It then updates Strava and my home computer.

Replaced an Edge 810. Better in every way, except the lack of touchscreen. Makes it tough to accurately touch the right buttons when riding.
Boots up and finds location really fast. And synchs quickly too, with minimal fuss, to Strava.

I bought with hesitation because my Garmin 510 was doing just fine. I am so glad I purchased the Garmin 520. It's easier to use, it's interface is more user friendly, there's no delay in uploading rides, the maps are better, it's by far a better bike computer.

Been using this GPS for a little over a month now and am happy with it overall... I use it for MTBing and one of the main things that led me to try it was the Strava Live Segments feature - I am disappointed in it though... it works nothing like Live segments on the phone app - once you've the completed the segment, you can't go back & see a list of the segments you've ridden during the current ride & once you complete a segment the info is displayed for a couple seconds & then it's gone - on MTB trails I never have a chance to glance at the GPS long enough to see them before there gone - kinda useless - probably be OK for roadbike users I guess..Before each & every ride I have to go in & turn the feature off, otherwise it just wastes battery power lighting up the screen at the beginning & end of each segment, plus at night this is very distracting! . On a positive note, the distance & elevation seem to be really accurate though...

I have used the Garmin 520 six days a week since it was introduced. It is simple to use and straightforward in it's functions. I particularly enjoy the effortless ride uploads to Strava and the notifications showing the person calling or texting to my cell phone. The 520 is a robust, no-nonsense computer that has far exceeded my expectations.

The Edge 520 has everything I needed from a GPS at a good price. It has a water resistant build, easy to read and customize display, and compact. For me the deciding factor was having actual buttons (as opposed to a touchscreen) that allows me to use the unit in colder weather with full finger gloves.

Still need a wheel sensor in the woods for accurate speed and distance. Horrible set of instructions.
