Budget aero and training wheelset

I actually have the LG CX version of this wheelset, with the only difference are the sealed bearings. These are a solid wheelset, with tyres easier to mount due to the wider rim. The wider rim allows the tyre to expand beyond its stock sizing, resulting in a more stable and comfortable ride. Right now, I have the Continental Grand Prix 4 Season 700x25 mounted and they're measured just over 26 mm. They've recently taken abuse in the last Solvang Century with no issues after 2,000 miles.

They take a while to spin up and although their weight suggest as a non-climbing wheelset, they're decent enough to climb. Don't let the weight fool you!

Thank you for your feedback.

overall i like the ride as they are comfortable and fast. but the flex and hubs are a disappointing.

i perceive them to be faster than my older mavic ksyrium ssc they replaced. can really feel the gyroscopic feel at higher speeds (above 23mph) turning the front wheel. therefore i believe the perceived speed increase is from the slightly aero section in comparison. however, my rides are typically fast and flat. these wheels are heavy, as i am a heavier rider (190lbs 245 FTP), and would not likely be fast where hills are involved. i purchased these wheels in part due to decent reviews but also because they are made for wider tires which feel significantly more comfortable and corner better than the mavic ksyrium with conti gran prix 2 23c. i mounted 25c on the fulcrums. my main gripe is these seem to flex during hard efforts sprinting. i needed to adjust my brake pads significantly to prevent rubbing. on one really hard sprint my tire left a burning smell rubbing my frame (i believe) but the wheels seemed perfectly true and centered when i checked it out afterwards. also, these hubs are ROUGH compared to the mavic hubs. not much info in the included manual, and couldn't find much on line as i considered rebuilding them or even greasing them. still generally happy with them. great training wheels. not as good quality as the older mavic but they fine for the price.

Thank you for your feedback.

Bought for windy days

I ride 60mm wheels and for windy days needed something with less depth to avoid the crosswind push. These are ok, not overly impressed. Seem very heavy and a very noticeable difference. I realize I am comparing them to a much higher end wheel, but they are not any better than the wheels that came standard on my Giant bike when I purchased it. Probably would return them if that was an option.

Very wide rim. I put 25mm tires on them and they are about the size of 28mm on a standard rim.

Thank you for your feedback.

Great entry level wheelset upgrade

I am a hobbyist rider. I don't currently race (though I am considering it), I go on solo rides and group rides with friends. I have a 2011 Specialized Allez comp m2, and my bike literally feels brand new with these wheels on here. I can hold lines better, balance better, and get up to speed much faster. The power transfer is noticeably improved over my stock wheels, which I never realized felt so squishy.

People are commenting about the weight of these wheels. These wheels are about 250g lighter than the wheels that came stock on my bike. They aren't the lightest thing out there, but I have ridden for a long time on much heavier wheels. I have gone on a few good rides on them now and they don't sprint up hills, but I do notice a big difference.

If you are looking for an upgrade (especially for a bike that cost sub-$2000), these are a great option.
