I've done a lot of multi-day long distance cycling and years ago settled on the Aliante as the most comfortable saddle for me. After prostate surgery I was advised that an open saddle would be preferable so when I started riding again it was on a Fizik Tempo Aliante R3 saddle. At first it seemed too firm and the edges along the open center seemed to dig in a bit, but after optimizing the position, it's become even more comfortable than my previous Aliante. I couldn't be more satisfied.

The Fizik Tempo Aliante provides improved comfort compared to my previous Specialized Romin (level 2 padding) saddle. Usage currently is on my training bike on the Wahoo Smart. I'm considering purchase of another Aliante to replace the Specialized Romin on my outdoor bike. There is definitely an improvement in sit bone comfort. After several hundred miles on the trainer, I have not encountered any downside. IMO the trainer environment is tougher on sit bones than outdoors.

I was an Arione user for over 20 years and as I've gotten older I have lost some of my posterior so I needed a more comfortable saddle. The Fizik products have always been consistent and good. This saddle is a good example of that. It took a bit of time to set the saddle properly because it's much shorter than my old one. Got that figured out and very happy.

I first rode this Fizik saddle 9 years ago. It immediately became 'the saddle.' I now have it on all 4 of my bikes.

Saddles are a subjective and personal choice but Aliantes have always worked for me and I appreciate the cut-out, which is why I opted for the Tempo R3. Relatively light and so far comfortable on medium-length rides.
