Device is sometimes a little glicthy pairing with my HRM and head unit. Battery life is not great. App is glitchy as well and does not so much run in real time; it's better at telling you where you stand post-workout.
As a training tool, I think it has some good, though not great value. It will help clue you in that, if you want to take heat training seriously, you have to get really uncomfortable, probably hotter than you're going to be able to get without taking very deliberate steps to get there (trainer, no fans, limited ventilation, extra clothes).
I do take the metrics the app generates with a grain of salt. It's deriving core temp using an algorithym that compares skjn temp and HR, and your heat adaptation score is based on assumptions around the training effect that will induce. I suspect that the metrics are valid only in a "directional" sense, not precise like power.

The CORE 2 Thermal Sensor monitor has been fantastic for defining riding at my limit in the heat! Hydration, nutrition and temperature are all accounted for during my strongest efforts. Love the data feedback at the end of the ride. I love being able to evaluate perceived effort and heat vs. data driven information!
