I'm currently riding a Trek Madone. I weigh 250 lbs and was looking for a little smoother ride so moved from a 25 - 28. When I mounted the tire there was what I would call minimum clearance between the tire, frame, and brake. I had about 200 miles on the tire when I rode on an 80 degree day. Halfway through the ride the tire started rubbing on both the frame and brake. I believe it expanded because of the heat. I've had good luck with this tire in the past and I will continue to use them. However I will make sure that I have at least 316 of an inch clearance.

These ride really smooth but also felt the road at all contact felt confident on the corners and didnt feel any breaking of the contact patch. Recommend these for someone who daily commutes on bike or is looking for entry level competition wheels

I got the wire bead version of these tires for my electric bike, which came with really wide slow tires, because I wasn't concerned about how much they weigh. These look to have the same rubber as Continental Gatorskins, without the extra layer of flat protection, hence the significant difference in price. In my experience its possible to have flats with both.

I've had these on for a couple of years. Wearing quite nicely, and they feel zippy to me. Good puncture resistance too. Not super great in wet conditions, but who would expect that from a seemingly groove-less tire.

Rare tire size is no problem here, great products, great prices, ultra-fast shipping. Why look anywhere else?

This is an excellent all-around training tire. Wears well, and seems fairly flat resistant. I usually shy away from wire bead tires as they tend to be hard to mount. These snap on fairly easy. The 180 TPI tire casing can't be found in another wire bead tire for this price. They are supple and have a nice ride, although you need to experiment with your PSI a bit. Mine feel nice around 105 PSI, although I ride mainly harsh chip sealed roads. As compared to the Vittoria Zaffiro II wire bead at 26 TPI (which I was using) these are a great improvement. (The Zaffiro's are a bitc to mount!!) Yes, I like pricey fold up clincher tires, but I ride in beer drinking country. I don't like replacing a fairly new expensive fold up that has a nasty cut because of glass. For the price you can't beat them.

These were easy to mount and are a great tire for refurbishing an older bike. They roll well and are holding up great. Great tire for the money

As a senior cyclist (age 74), I road ride on good roads in the mountains of WNC. I have 1000 miles on 28 mm version of this tire. It rides feels as good as the more expensive Continentals. No flats in 1000 miles. I bought this 28 mm to see if it would fit my older Litespeed.

Switched from some conti top touring with tread that followed every crack in the road to these, the difference is amazing, smoother, rolls faster, Too slick for offroad , rain seems to be no problem. gravel is fine too, for me.

I am a dedicated Continental user but now I am a dedicated Biketiresdirect.com purchaser. The prices are great but the service is even better. UPS lost my package (of course) and Biketiresdirect.com sent another immediately! They have won me over as a customer because of this. I only wish they used USPS to ship, but no one is perfect.

I love that Continental makes such a high-performance tire at such a great price - I've used these consistently for years on 3 or 4 different bikes. They're pretty easy to install and hold up well on my pothole covered street.

I like how these snap on the rim, using tire irons of course. you almost never need to look for the witness mark on the tire to see if it is seated properly. Some tires you have to deflate some, then ride the bike to try to seat them--not these.

For a reasonable tire with performance attitude, this tire cannit be beat.
I have them on many of my bikes.
Grest value

Happy with the thin tire size. Has held up so far (had it for 2 months), no flats even on a camping bike trip with lots of gear on my bike. Will have to see how it does over the long term for commuting.

I use Continental since ever, almost 50 years now. It's just a tire you can depend on, period. It lasts 3,000 miles and I ride about 3,500 a year. Good for just riding on the wide open road.

Very well constructed tire. Couldn't beat the price for this good quality tire.

Tire split within the first 8 miles.

I have been mounting my tires through the last few tire replacements with my simple DIY tools. These tires mounted much easier and faster than previous tires purchased. And when they are mounted, these tires preform very well.

Nice lightweight tire. Rolls smooth and seats without a lot of finagling. Great tire for the price.

This is an excellent tire and very affordable. It seats on the first try with no finessing required. Lightweight and long lasting.
