Made the decision to run tubeless tires on my rig after converting with a Stan's kit and tearing the sidewall out 3x on my rear running 2.35' Maxxis Larsen TT's. I'm a heavier rider (220lbs) and after searching around online and talking to the LBS it seemed like the general consensus was to roll tubeless tires for more sidewall strength. Chose these as they have good reviews for strength. I've had no issues with these after several rides and they feel pretty good when cornering at higher speeds. I've been on some fairly rough stuff (South Mountain AZ javelina/mormon/national and fast riding on desert classic) and no rips yet. The tires feel pretty stiff to the hand at low pressures, but squish/ride well on the rocks. I rated these as 4 stars only because I don't really have a good comparison against other tubeless tires (this being my first set) and because I haven't been riding them for terribly long yet.
Overall I'm very happy with the purchase and would say that paying extra for the tubeless was well worth it.

I run mine around 30 psi. They give me excellent traction and the only limit on steep descents is either my ability to make a sharp switchback while climbing. The tires never fail to do their part.
