These are by far the best road tires I've ever ridden. The roads in my area are riddled with debris as a result of all the rain we've had here on the east coast so having tires with extra puncture protection is a must. I realize no tire is completely impervious, but these up your chances of not having a flat.

I ride early mornings so reflective stripe made sense. After about 100 miles I noticed a half inch separation which I reattached with glue. No problems otherwise.

These are tough, flats occur like anything else but tend to be very few and far between. They are very hard to mount at first because of stiffness but it gets easier after some use. They are also comfortable on a long distance ride. My only other qualm is after about 2,500 miles or so, they tend to shed some threads fairly regularly though its probably about time to replace them by then.

I bought 2 of these tires. Within a month, I received cutsflats in each tire from stones. I don't believe I will purchase this tire again.

Ive tried about all the top rated road tires, and I always come back to the Continental Grand Prix 4000
Ive rode over 40,000 miles in the last 10 years , so its given me a chance to try a lot of tires and the
continental is the best. Now I dont even look at any other tire.

No flats until the tire is worn out. Mich Pro corners a little better but the GP 4000S is not far behind.

Ive used these before and liked them. In an emergency, I put a new Michelin on. 3 flats in a friggin month. I had ordered these for the inevitable....and they are now on..

Switched from 25mm to 28mm and very happy about it. Run them at 80 pressure and get a much gentler ride over broken up concrete roads.
Be warned, on wide HED Belgium rims, these tires measure 31mm in width (using a caliper).

I've been riding on these tires for the past 15k miles or so. I've had maybe 2-3 flats in all those miles. I ride mostly on county tar & chip seal roads. I've always used size 700x25 but went up to 700x28 the last set. I decreased my tire pressure from about 100 to 90psi. They seem to be more comfortable with little speed difference. Get these tires when on sale, you'll be happy.

The 4000s is fast and I have found it durable enough for my year round riding. I have been putting about 120 mike a week on them and run my 28mm at about 85lbs. Love these tires!

Using for triathelons and love them. Roll great, you see them on half the bikes for good reason.

Excellent road tires as they grip on wet pavement and are resistant to the occasionally broken beer bottles people leave behind. They are also resistant to the kiawe (Hawaiian Mesquite) thorns strewn all over the islands.

I ride 5-6k miles a year, commuting and club rides. these tires perform very well giving me confidence in descents and cornering. I replaced the rear tire, after a year of riding, as it was getting a bit squared, and the annual Seattle to Portland ride was coming up. I still have not experienced a flat with them.

The Continental GP 4000 S II is a smooth, fast tire. I use it on a Trek Domane for added cush on chip seal roads. The larger (28c) size provides a solid but smooth ride. I can't tell any difference in rolling resistance from the previous 25c tires used. I highly recommend this tire.

I have been riding these tires for years and they just keep getting better. On westchester New York roads they are fairly puncture resistant and hold up to holes etc. When the roads get nice they fly

Good grip, solid handling, decent puncture resistance (Gatorskins are better)

Go to tire, love the feel, weight, durability. Sticky, good in rain. Year after year, this is the tire I have always come back to.

Did not keep close track of miles on the last set, but somewhere in the neighborhood of 5000mi. Just got a new pair of 23cm on the road bike. Typically inflate 90- 100 psi, on good roads.

Great clincher road tire. Only negative is soft side walls vulnerable to cuts. Stock up when on sale.
