The Conti Grand Prix 4000s are - IMO - the best tires out there. They are the only tires I can legitimately get 800-1000 miles in before starting to get flats. Even then, I'm still able to go a few hundred more miles as long as I check the innards for pins or glass. Plus, the pricing on BTD makes these a consistently great value.

These tires from Continental have a little long stand reputation for top tier quality. Their balance of price, performance and quality is outstanding. Customer service at BTD is top notch as well.

I have been riding Continental tires for about twenty years. They have only improved their products and I appreciate the durability.
My latest tires are 700 x 25 and it has made a noticed improvement without any disadvantages. The ride is even better.

Great tires for endurance riding. I was using Gatorskins on the past three century rides. The Continental Grand Prix 4000 S II 700c road tire rocks. I can get better speed for sure.
Buy them.

As a heavier rider (200 lbs), but one that likes to ride as fast as these old legs can do, Im always looking for a performance tire, but yet one that will last me 1000 miles. Ive found these tires in a 700c X 25mm the best for me after trying several Michelin & Schwalbe Tires as a alternative. In 4000 miles of seasonal riding my flats are usually limited to 3 - 5 (not bad?).

I have been using Continental Grand Prix 4000 for years for its reliability, superior performance and price. I ride 5K-10k miles a year. I have tried other tires but always found my self gping back to use continental Grand Prix, a bike tire I trust without breaking my budget.

I know all my buddies are excited about the new 5000 tire, but really... how much better can it be? I grew-up on Italian rubber, but these tires just give you so much confidence!

Recently switched from 23s to 25s. I like the ride quality better. The 25s in this brand is very good. No flats yet and smooth ride.

This has been my standard road bike tire for the past 5 years. Good durability.

Made a nice improvement (faster, more cushion) compared to the 23c size i was running. Really like the reflective stripe that helps visibility. No cuts on the few times ive hit landscape gravel.

Been using this tire for years. A great tire at a special Black Friday price. I always keep an extra set in my garage.

Not much more can be said about this tire than has already been said. There is a good reason you see it on so many bikes. The GP 4000 is a solid all arounder tire for enthusiasts. Plenty of grip and relatively high durability. Plus it looks good on the bike.
One thing to note is that my 28mm pair measures to about 32mm on rims with 19mm inner width so be careful on bikes with limited clearance.

I use these tires every summer because they roll fast and wear well. During the winter months I use their 4 season tires that wear great for the tougher weather.

Masters racer here. I use this as a front tire, Year round. These are soft, light weight, supple tires.
You know they are made of a soft compound because they look like they have been to war and back after a 1,000 miles. Grippy, spin up quickly and they are super popular in my area. The southeast US.
Watch bike tires direct and you CAN, get some very good prices here. But overall a great tire.

The Continental GP 4000 S II lasted me about 1,000 miles (1,600K) before taking a lot of cuts and starting to attract punctures. I'll be returning to the GP Four Season over the winter months for the increased puncture protection and better durability on the chip-and-seal wine country roads I usually train on. These are probably better suited for fair weather smooth asphalt road surfaces. Also be aware that these measure wide if you have frame clearance issues - my pair of 23mm measured 25mm with calipers.
