I've ridden GP 5000s since they came out. I routinely ride 5000 miles every year. I have never had an issue.

After suffering through a summer of flats I decided to ditch my almost new Vittorias and try the new Continental Grand Prix 5000. They are superb. I broke them
in at Santa Rosa 70.3. The road condition was not good and the Continental 5000 performed perfectly. Excellent road grip and very fast!
Oh and Biketiresdirect had them to me in 2 days!

These are excellent tires, but if I did not know whether I was on my older 4000s or my new 5000s I could not tell the difference.

Although this tire is expensive, I got it on sale and I stocked up. It's a great road tire....good road feel and very durable. I highly recommend this tire

We switched over to the 32s of this model from a light touring tire for the summer. We have a tandem that can run up to 38s but these fit the bit for nice pavement to chip seal country roads. They are much faster and corner great. They also have a nice road feel as the larger volume lets us get away with lower pressure. Wouldnt take these on dirt, but thats not what they are made for!

I ride this tire in a 700c x 25mm size daily on asphalt, typically 20 - 60 miles. I used to switch to Gator Skins for Fully Supported week long tours, but this year I have left the 5000S tires on my bike rims and they are proving surprisingly flat resistant. I may switch to a 28mm width for the next week tour.

Picked up a pair of the 700c x 25mm tires when they were on sale. I couldn't tell a noticeable difference over the previous model of this tire (GP 4000 SII) but I did use them in a 60 mile race and they rolled as smooth as butter, gave a soft ride. They have not punctured after 350 miles of riding so far and that includes over some rough gravel and road debris. If you can grab these when they are on sale you can't go wrong.

This is my third set of these tires. They wear very well, do not flat easily, and look great. I will continue to use them on my bike that does not have tubeless tires.

Love these tires! They corner well, roll smooth and I get less puncture. When not on sale, I think they're kind of pricey. But when they are on sale, I always get a pair.

The GP5000 is all it is supposed to be. I've been riding the GP4000SII for several years. It has been a great tire for our rough roads. It has been durable and fast. The GP5000 appears to be just as durable and seems to roll better. Recommend these tires to everyone. I do fast group rides and several long ridesraces per year.

I have been riding the Continental Grand Prix tires for many many years.
Previously always the 4000 S. Now...the new Grand Prix 5000.
I find these tires to be even better. They seem to roll better, smoother, and just feel great !
I think the shock absorption is superior, and they just make the bike feel better than before.
Very nice, I highly recommend these tires.

Seems like a must for racing, looks great, costs too much but that's nothing new for bike equipment. Can't say anything about long term durability though because I've only put in a few hundred kms on them so far.
